Advantages: Fantastic colours Disadvantages: lens gets in way of flash on macro
I bought this camera to take with me on an expedition into the Amazon rainforest, which is one of the most difficult situations to take photography due to its constant low lighting and moving subjects.
The auto function on the camera was good, but was inadequate in low lighting, I found if I switched to manual I got much better photographs, but the problem with that was that it took me a while to get used to the functions before being quick enough ... ...when you first buy it.
One morning the sun was rising and there was a wonderful red tint in the sky which I wanted to catch, so I put it on the sunset setting and the result was fantastic, the colours were perfect if not more vivid than in real life, other people took the same photo on their cameras, and some of these had SLRs etc but nobody got close to having the colours I had. This is true in most cases actually, even on auto I didnt have many ...

I had the pleasure of getting my hands on a demo model from work an it was an experience. This camera looks and feels great, nice and bulky in the hand, might be a little too big for smaller hands. The boot up time is a joy, almost instantaneous from off to shooting that first picture. The wealth of controls this camera has to offer is unparalleled by any bridge camera currently on the market, while all of these features take a while to get used ...

Advantages: Great Camera and plenty of Features Disadvantages: None I see anything
...free software to download from Fujifilm for the S-model instead of FineViewer 5.5 - it worked prefect under all Windows included Vista 32/64 - no problems at all - it support SD/SDHC and Xd Picture card (best if you get SDHC with class 6 that make lots speed - I used Kingston 4GB) -- Im much happy that I got it and the price still quite steep but still worth to grab it and some online offer 1 or 2 years warranty, I got 2 years warranty. Highly recommend!!! ...
