Advantages: simple to use for a digital camera novice.
Disadvantages: bulky to carry about, though you can remove the lense cover.

Bought mine two years ago and it has proven very reliable. It takes standard batteries which makes it easy to recharge, and helpful if you happen to run out at a critical moment as you can simply purchase another four AA batteries. It does use them up fast, so you are better buying a battery charger and eight rechargable AA batteries to go with it. I bought this model nearly 3 years ago. It looked serious, had a great optical zoom range and, rarely in this price range had a threaded lens hood which accepted attachments such as filters as well as providing excellent protection from flare. Unfortunately the snap-on lens cap which clips onto the hood has a habit of detaching itself - but Fuji UK will replace this for you. I have both a "wet camera" and now this little beauty! I found this camera very simple to use and so light I sometimes wonder if I have it in my camera bag! The zoom is good, although I must admit to purchasing an additional lens which enhances the zoom yet more, and again was easy to fit and use. I opened the box and it looked just like it did in the picture, yet I was optimistic as I have had some before that dissapointed me. Disadvantages: Not easy to focus in bad light especially in night mode.

Portability It's a relatively large camera I would not class it as pocket size. It does not come with a case but I high recommend you get one. The strap that comes with the camera is a little flimsy. Portability It does benfits from having a case purchased for it, as one does not come with it. Picture Quality With 3.0 Megapixels in Fine being the mazimum quality, this shuld get you A4 prints in relatively good quality, and as images this size are a rarity. The Fujifilm Finepix s304, is a simple to use camera with a great automatic mode for the novice and most of the basic to medium tweaks you would expect like light balance and exposure adjustment. I decided to take the plunge into digital after getting fed up with the costs of processing photos from my SLR. I found this camera very easy to use & good value for the money. very good camera it should come with a charger but doesn't but some websites will chuck one in for free.
