Advantages: Serious quality at a silly price
Disadvantages: For the price, none!

I've owned this camera for a few weeks now, and I'm pleased to report that taking price into account, the performance is outstanding ... you would have to spend serious money to better this product, and those that might knock it probably have. To get the best from this camera you'll need to up it one notch to its highest resolution setting, for general use the factory preset is perfectly okay though. ...I was in a hurry. The fujifilm finepix SD5700 does all of the above, and even delivers better results than I expected. The zoom lens is fantastic and a welcome, unexpected feature of an amateur camera such as this. It is definitely worth looking at if you are an enthusiast on a budget, or a beginner looking for a way to increase your photography skills. I have never owned a digital camera before, I was given this as a gift and I don't know much about all the fancy technical stuff! I find it really simple to use. This is a great liitle camera ...easy to use with a clear instruction manual to help the less than expert user. Great optical zoom however a removable lense would have improved it even more. This is a very light camera and easy to use on a timer which is unusual in itself. The acessaries are not that expensive and easily found via entering the camera into any search engine. gives good quailty pictures that download easily and print to a good quality .

This is a lightweight and compact camera with so many functions its hard to say where to start. Many of the functions are customisable. It is also at a very good price, £132.00 from Argos with half price xd memory card.

I bought this camera from QVC for £199.99 but I returned it as I was disappointed by:- Bad purple fringing in bright light, over exposed flash pictures despite it's "intelligent flash", above 200 iso detail was poor on low contrast subjects such as fur and photos on LCD were difficult to see if they were sharp. Good points:- As the price has come down a bit it is a bargain for a (large) point and shoot with the option to play with manual settings, aperture and shutter priority. It's easy to use, large LCD, has good colour reproduction, video mode, lightweight 306g and compact, takes XD & SD cards (2GB limit), runs on 4 AA batteries with good battery life. Maybe be a good back up camera.

I bought this camera a couple of months ago on ebuyer for £103 what a bargain, its easy to use and takes great pictures the zoom is excellent and the batteries last a long time. It also has lots of different settings so you can play around to get the best shot also the macro and super macro feature is excellent as well as settings like portrait and landscape also has adjustbale shutter speeds and numerous other settings it also has red eye reduction ... ...of the pictures you take. Fujifilm is also a very good company so i think you wont encounter any problems with this purchase. This camera not only looks good but the pictures it takes is also very good, take as many photos as you wish and the quality will not change, it will still be as good as you would expect. A great bit of kit for the price, most will start in Auto mode and move onto the manual settings. maybe the best camera fuji have made? I brough my one from the littlewoods cataloge, you pay a little extra for it, but mine came with a great leather bag for all the bits. its great for pictures and even the movie mode is good. I have found going from a 516 meg card to a 2 gig card, the start up a about a second longer... but still quicker than powering ... Read review
