Advantages: Great image quality, easy to use and lots of usefull features to use. Disadvantages: Cannot attach external lenses or flashes, no RAW format.
I have been using this camera for over a year now. I initially bought it to help with my Photography A Level course, I have to say, it has been a brilliant purchase. The price I paid was just over £100, and for what is a digital SLR at this price point you can't really go wrong. I think that this camera has a really broad appeal. As an entry level digital SLR it can appeal to casual users wanting to get really good holiday snaps, as well as being ... ...is "entry-level" don't be put off, it really packs in the features. Whilst I imagine a casual user could be greatly satisfied with this camera just through using it's 'auto' setting and the environment specific modes (portraits, night, party, firework, there's loads), I would strongly recommend if you haven't before, taking the opportunity to explore this camera's manual mode. This camera is great for your first exploration into experimenting with ...

Advantages: Everything, 7.1Megapixel, Advanced shooting options, Price, Optical Zoom, SD Expansion Disadvantages: None at all
I got one of these as a present for xmas. It's fantastic. As soon as the package arrives you can't for the life of you believe that it is sold at that price.
Everything about the camera really dose ooze quality for how much you pay for one. A nice matte plastic covers the entire camera, with a soft rubber grip for your shooting hand.
Everything seems to be in the right place on this camera. Lots of people have complained about the On/Off button ... ...see any problem with it. It's a little slide switch located just behind the shoot button, you can't possibly catch it or nudge it as it's in it's own little recess.
The picture quality is second to none, and digital zoom isn't all that noisy (As in those little speckles of colour). The optical zoom runs very smooth, quiet, with no juddering at all and set on auto-focus, it automatically makes the image on the built in 2.5" screen crystal clear and ...

Advantages: Top Camera Great Price Disadvantages: None
Me and my wife both decided that it was time for a new digital camera as our old canon finally gave up the ghost. We went out to chose a new camera and decided that the Fuji S5700 fitted the bill down to a tee as we had used her fathers on a few occasions and were very impressed. We contacted her father and to our surprise he had recently upgraded his camera so let us have his which came with all the manuals and accessories as well as many he had ... ...solid to hold and feels like it would take a whack and still work not that I would like to find out, this was important to us and many cameras we had looked at felt far to light and plasticy which is something we don’t like. As for size the camera is best operated with two hands for steady pictures and is very comfortable to hold. The lens to the camera sticks out unlike many flat cameras feeling like a really professional piece of equipment and ...

Fujifilm Finepix S5700.
This is a very fine digital camera at MY price! The moment I set eyes on this one, I was really very impressed. The features on this model are unbelievable. Just look at the specification to see what I mean. It is an easy camera to use. In Auto mode, simply great and for the experienced photographer the manual mode is excellent. I love this camera so much that I would buy two of them!! It handles well, all the important buttons ... ...the beautiful results from this Fujifilm gem the Finepix S5700, I knew this would fill the bill and it has. My best camera buy in 15 years I am certain. The price is right and the specifications are excellent. There are all sorts of add-ons such as lenses and specially made cases for it. This model takes an SD card as well as Fuji's own brand of card, so this is a bonus since I can interchange easily with my other cameras.

Advantages: Serious quality at a silly price Disadvantages: For the price, none!
I've owned this camera for a few weeks now, and I'm pleased to report that taking price into account, the performance is outstanding ... you would have to spend serious money to better this product, and those that might knock it probably have. To get the best from this camera you'll need to up it one notch to its highest resolution setting, for general use the factory preset is perfectly okay though.
Buy a UV filter for even better results. Macro ... ...of features will please many. The LCD is much better than the 5600 giving you a far better idea of pictures taken, but once you're home and viewing your shots via PC you will be impressed with Colour, depth and overall sharpness.
weak points are glare and colour cast at extreme zoom, though using a UV filter almost clears the problem completely. The S5700 works well in low light, and if things are too dark, the popup flash keeps colour balance and ...

Advantages: Can be used by anyone with a range of abilities. Disadvantages: Might be a little too complicated for complete beginners.
...in a hurry.
The fujifilm finepix SD5700 does all of the above, and even delivers better results than I expected. The zoom lens is fantastic and a welcome, unexpected feature of an amateur camera such as this. It is definitely worth looking at if you are an enthusiast on a budget, or a beginner looking for a way to increase your photography skills.
While there is no way to change the lens for another, this actually hides another benefit - it is ... ...versatility of the zoom, you wouldn't really want to add anything extra.
The weight of the camera was satisfying enough to give me confidence in it, yet it is neither awkward or bulky, and I found the design of it easy and pleasant to hold.
The camera has an internal memory, which is handy if you forget the memory card, however it does get filled fairly quickly. I haven't tried transferring images to my PC via the data lead as I found the memory ...

Advantages: 10x optical zoom, excellent value Disadvantages: none for the price
I have had one of these cameras for about 3 months now and I must say it does not dissapoint. I have always enjoyed photography and wanted to take it a bit mroe seriously and when I saw an offer on this camera I decided to purchase it.
As you would expect from the price, it is not top of the range, but what you get for your money is excellent. The 10x optical zoom is especially nice allowing clear images of objects further away. That alongside 7.1 ... ...their quality even when you blow them up.
I would say that for anyone who enjoys taking pictures and would like to venture towards professional photography, but cannot afford to go out and buy a top grade camera, this is a very good option indeed. If I could go back and choose a different camera to this, I can safely say I wouldn't want to.
Great value for money ...

Advantages: Easy to use, fab pictures. Disadvantages: A lot of functions I will probably never get round to using.
I have never owned a digital camera before, I was given this as a gift and I don't know much about all the fancy technical stuff! I find it really simple to use. It is light and the shape makes it easy and comfortable to hold. I am not an experienced photographer but I have taken some amazing really professional looking pictures with it. The zoom is great you can get really close up. The display screen is nice and big, although I still like to look ... ...look back and see which ones I want to keep. You can even crop the pictures on the screen and zoom into them after you have taken the picture. There are loads of other settings like night time, snow, fireworks, portrait etc etc, but I have mostly just used the auto setting to be honest. I have used the macro setting to take really close up pictures of flowers and they have turned out fantastic, if you were doing this a lot you would probably be better ...

Advantages: quality images, easy to use, feature packed, 10X optical zoom, large LCD Disadvantages: image stabilisation is not available in all modes
The Fujifilm FinePix S5700, is as other owners have testified an outstanding camera outfit for the price. The entire camera oozes quality.
Users get an option to use a traditional viewfinder, or the large LCD screen when taking shots. This is very helpful, especially for spectacle wearers like myself, who often have more difficulty in getting close to the viewfinder to focus and frame the image.
The 10X optical zoom ensures great close up shots ...

Advantages: Well designed camera, easy to use, compact, excellent optical zoom function, great photos Disadvantages: None
This camera is a really rather impressive camera and it provided me a lot of pleasant shocks following my purchase of it for a holiday.
First thing is first and I have to say that the camera is a well designed, well put together and a very compact piece with the camera feeling very good and well made when you hold it and upon inserting batteries and SD card I was able to simply point, click and take it all from there.
The zoom on the camera is ... ...more impressive with how easy it has been made to use this zoom facility by where the designers have placed the controls for this function making it quick to locate without having to miss out on what you have on the screen.
The camera is excellent value for money with my paying £130 for this and finding it to be well and truly worth it from day one.
This little camera has a lot of functions and is a truly brilliant camera that is the all in one ...

Quick review of Fujifilm FinePix S5700
I bought this camera from QVC for £199.99 but I returned it as I was disappointed by:- Bad purple fringing in bright light, over exposed flash pictures despite it's "intelligent flash", above 200 iso detail was poor on low contrast subjects such as fur and photos on LCD were difficult to see if they were sharp.
Good points:- As the price has come down a bit it is a bargain for a (large) point and shoot with the option to play with manual settings, aperture and shutter priority. It's easy to use, large LCD, has good colour reproduction, video mode, lightweight 306g and compact, takes XD & SD cards (2GB limit), runs on 4 AA batteries with good battery life.
Maybe be a good back up camera. ...
