Advantages: Zoom, macro, focusing, OSD, manual, packed with features, price. Disadvantages: Flash sometimes pop's up when you don't expect
I bought this camera after looking at the options of sub £200 digital cameras. I was surprised not only be low-cost of this piece of kit, but the sheer quality of the product too.
You know the expression "you get what you pay for..." ? With this, you get more than you pay for.
Despite this only be a 6.3 Mega-pixel camera, the x10 zoom (plus x2 digital zoom) is a must have, especially as the resolution of the images is still good enough to print ...

...bit where you can see FUJIFILM + the model name printed on it), is a hidden pop-up flash that springs to life when needed.
The lens is like a good old fashioned SLR one, except it isn't interchangeable to different types........ which is a good thing, as I've read that Digital SLR's tend to get a build-up of cr*p inside the part where the lens fits onto the camera, and it eventually needs sending away for servicing. No such problems here.
It's ...

Advantages: Easy of use for automatic modes, price, quality of images. Disadvantages: Small grip, awkward battery compartment, lack of RAW format compatability, average manual.
The Fujifilm FinePix S6500fd is an excellent 'bridge' camera for those wishing to move up from the traditional compact type.
Whilst lacking in some of the features you find on the more expensive Digital SLRs, this camera produces excellent quality photographs at A4 print quality, and extremely easily too in automatic mode and when using the excellent face detection mode.
With this money you are never going to get the flexibility of cameras ...

Advantages: manual focus ring, large screen on back, good iso range Disadvantages: high iso settings when using auto in low light producing slightly noisy images
by far the best digital camera that i have owned to date. if your looking for something like an SLR camera but at a fraction of the cost then look no further. this camera has it all iso100-3200 full auto mode for beginners and full manual for experts or enthusiasts, it also has semi auto modes for shutter priority, etc on it. the full auto mode is fine for a bright day but i found that it tends to up the iso setting too much with low light so manual ...

...more or less fixed on fujifilm f31fd or s6500fd. But, finally I decided to go for the higher spec.ed model, the main reason being 28mm wide angle range, manual zoom ring and full range of manual controls.
The reason I went for fuji was for it's excellent low light capabilities due to it's special ccd. I suffered a lot with noise with my sony camera so I was happy to go with fuji even thoigh they are not in the top tier of camera manufacturers.

Advantages: Cheap, light, superb zoom function, acts as a video camera, strong Disadvantages: Few upgrades
I received this wonderful camera as a gift for Christmas in 2006. The camera has unleashed a passion within myself for photography - that's how much i like it.
The lightweight body and ease of use present me with little need to buy a smaller compact digital camera. The photos that are produced from the camera are professional quality, and one of mine has even made it onto a motor-journalist website when i was just 16 at the time.
The only problem ...

Advantages: Battery Life, Large Screen, Easy Navigation, Zoom and focus on lens, Everything! Disadvantages: Would maybe benifit from coming with a sun hood for the screen
What an amazing camera! I bought this when I first got into pro-photography as I wanted an SLR type of camcorder without havig to buy lens etc. So I got this. Fuji advertise it as a SLR-Type and it definatly is! The zoom and focus controls on the lens are great, so sensitive and user friendly. The back of the camera has enough buttons to keep the average user satisfied and the large screen is great for reviewing your snaps. The mode wheel on the top ...

Advantages: Ease of use and value for money. Disadvantages: Low internal memory
I bought this camera after my boyfriend left my old \'point and click\' camera on an airplane. I had always envisaged that one day I would be able to buy an SLR camera and turn myself into amateur paparazzi. However, even though this is not an SLR camera it comes close! And at the current price it is a bargain.
I cannot fault this camera, the manual zoom is easy to use, it\'s easy to hold and the choice of auto focus or manual focus means it is easy ...

Advantages: Pro settings and great pictures Disadvantages: not able to change lenses.
I purchased this camera with my limited budget expecting nothing more than compact digital camera but I was soon supprised at what this camera offers. It has a lot of settings and functions you would only find on more expensive DSLR cameras. Although this camera is not a DSLR when your using it you would not know this. I have produced some amazing shots which have scored well on professional web sites. You can see some examples on tj040.shutterpoint.com. ...

Advantages: Good pictures, great zoom lense, easy to use. Disadvantages: No image stabilization, large size compared to compact cameras.
I bought this camera because I wanted to be able to produce good quality snaps with good macro functions for closeups. It does not dissapoint. I especialy like the macro mode for nearb objects they look excellent as long as the lighting is good.
My only gripe is the lack of image stabilization, and sometimes at night it is hard to get a good shot if you are not sure what you are doing with the ISO settings.
Generaly a very good camera for the ...

I have always trusted the name fuji and I have not been dissappointed with this one. It is very well balanced and has a professional feel to it. It has a twist lens zoom for speedy close ups.
I have posted pictures on the web using this camera and had some pics published in the newspaper. A real gem.
I purchased mine as a bundle at Dixons for £190. I received the camera, a large bag and a memory card. I also located a voucher code site (http://www.greatstuff.co.nr/) ...

Advantages: No detachable lens, Face detection technology, Rugged. Disadvantages: Bundled software, Integral memory, No included case.
I received this product for Christmas in 2007. It has given me my first insight into photography, and I have found his camrea fantastic. The pop up flash is excellent, and the fact that there is no detachable lens makes it perfect for any person new to photography. The twistable lens, though does profide a more proffesional feel to the camrea. However, the LCD screen has to be activated through the press of a button, whereas technology could have ...
