This is a gorgeous camera. When I worked as a professional photographer, I always used Fuji film for my work. It was always colourful and reliable and so when I decided to get back into photography seriously after a break of almost 20 years, I looked at the specifications and (deciding I didn't at that time want the hassle of different lenses) decided on the Fuji S7000. Advantages: Picture quality, manual features, movies, tilting screen, robust feeling, fantastic zoom and picture size
Disadvantages: Size and weight can be a hindrance for some people, although I actually like this.

The Fujifilm s9600 is a phenomenal camera. I bought it a couple of months ago from Amazon and have not had a single problem (apart from delayed delivery). The item itself is not an SLR, but the quality of pictures it produces is right up there with the semi-pros in my opinion. Disadvantages: A tad bulky but definately worth it!

I bought this camera as my move up from the standard digital compact which most people have now days.
