...cracking camera however BE WARNED: fujifilm were the only ones to be able to fix mine when the screen broke (unfortunate 'pile on' incident), and it cost £110 to fix......horrifically expensive- seeing as a new one cost 120 at the time (but i did go for the cheaper option) otherwise this camera will not let you down when needed, just charge it up, and upload all the pictures off the memory card before the big day, and obviously dont let 20 kids ...

As a student, i needed a camera that would fufill my needs. A light, non technical camera with a good zoom and not too bulky. I had been searching for a camera for months and initially, my ideal was to buy a camera with a big screen as to me they are much easier to use. I have had a SONY DSC 3.2 MP camera for several years - although small, it was still too bulky in your pocket. I also use a Nikon D70 dig. SLR - so why get a Z1? Well I needed a very small camera when I didn't have the SLR. This is the answer the Z1. 3X optical zoom, rapid start up - as soon as you slide the cover you are ready to shoot. This is an excellent option if you're looking for a small camera. I had a "SLR" type Fuji previously but found it too big to just take around with you. The Z1 is almost as good (zoom not quite deep enough for distant objects) as my older one that cost £600+. When turning the camera on it immediately is ready for action as opposed to waiting several seconds. The features are extensive but can be a bit confusing - there's 4 different flash options ...
...an Auto feature for the technically challenged. There's no view finder through which to take the photo's, instead you use the LCD which is large, in comparison to the camera, and very clear.
