    In the modern age of newfangled digital gadgetry it may seem strange that this opinion is on one of those steam-powered things that actually use film. Sadly, as a travelling man on a budget, when my Canon Ixus II decided that it would choose a distinctly unsuitable time to cease any pretence of working, I was left with little choice but it opt for another affordable point and shoot camera. My budget precluded many of digital alternatives and due to the nature of backpacking a small yet robust camera is the most practical option and APS film is my preference.
