Advantages: Good Performance Disadvantages: Not easy to use as a programmer
Having bought this product second hand I feel I can objectively give my opinion on how well this product performs, as I was not biased at the point of sale by its looks, or features. As a web developer I use computers almost constantly so ease of use is of utmost importance, and unfortunately for me I do not find this a user friendly piece of equipment.
Let me start with the positives. It is a nice size and although quite heavy it is of good build ... ...can be viewed from an angle which is ideal for presenting to a client. Performance wise it is pretty quick and can handle several heavy weight applications open at once, i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator & Dreamweaver.

The Intel Centrino Duo cpu and 1Gb ram mean that under Win XP Pro, the system is responsive and capable for most office applications, any internet use and simple gaming. Even watching a film on DVD is acceptable quality especially when using stereo headphones. ... ...and keyboard casing. The Fujitsu power management utility does a great job of extending the battery time. I had to obtain a replacement battery for mine (Li-ion) because my old one was failing to retain a charge, but I think 2.5 years is a creditable performance. I would not hesitate to buy another Fujitsu Laptop, be it an Amilo, Esprimo or Lifebook. ...
