I do like my gadgets but this has been truely useful and cost effective. I originally bought it to keep track of contacts and my diary. But I now know it can do so much more. I bought a keyboard so I can type notes on the train and it is a lot smaller than a laptop and the battery life is ... ...text notes.
(No Laptop, Saved £1000)
I bought an SD card for storage and can now play MP3's but it doesn't stop there. I got an Ap for my PC that allows DVD to be compressed and stored on 128MB or 256MB cards. I have just been to france and had a couple of my sons DVDs on cards so he could watch while abroad. (No portable DVD player, Saved £150)
It has built-in Bluetooth as well so I bought a USB bluetooth dongle (100m version) and can now browse ...

Advantages: Size, Battery life Disadvantages: Screen a bit dark
I used to own an Ipaq 3630. I had so many problems with it that I took it back to the shop, and instead got myself a pocket loox.
Now that's impressive. The pocket loox is really thin and actually DOES fit in your pocket. Not that I recommend to use your "wallet pockets" it's useful to be able to leave it in your coat, and forget about it until you need it.
The screen's great as long as you don't have to use it outside. The screen is still readable ... ...you get a couple of finger marks on the screen you can't read it. I suppose they are plastic films you can put on the screen for that. It bothered me only a couple of times, I don't feel that it's a big issue, just be aware of it.
The pocket Loox uses the pocket pc 2002 operating system, which means : faster, better. It's only very compatible with most windows ce and pocket pc application for ARM processor. Compatible ? Well, this pocket pc is one ...

Advantages: Easy To use, Quick Disadvantages: Expensive
...like most Pocket PC's, and Fujitsu have done a great job making their Pocket PC stand out from the rest.
The feature that made me purchase this product was its Bluetooth capability, which means that most electronic products in my house are now connected to my Desktop via bluetooth, heck you could even switch the kettle on from your computer.
The Pocket PC is able to play music with incredable sound quality and play video files with ease. It is ... ...PC uses about 64mb for both running and storage.
The processor is one of the fastest you can get for a pocket PC at 400mhz which is extremely fast.
The pocket PC is a little expensive at around £400, but is well worth it.
With a ridgid design, excellent speed and excellent reliability, the pocket loox is the way to go. ...

Originally when my Jornada was getting a bit old (4 yrs that is), I decided to start hinting about a new PDA.
The first Plan of attack was HP as my Jornada had been so reliable. But to my disappointment the Jornada's were no more!!!!
The left me the choice of an IPAQ *NOOOOOOOOOO* to my suprise it sounded quite good, until I read the Manufactures sales pitch....
