Advantages: Excellent value for money, small, light, neat and stylish Disadvantages: Slightly hard on the eyes in prolonged use
I bought my GNR TS501 on Ebay for £69 plus P&P so I really had nothing to lose in the price department. It's outstanding value for money and works well!
Having used it for a few months now, it is sometimes a bit hard on the eyes. Maybe I should try to look away every so often.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this screen as outstanding value for money. Readily available discounted because of its small size, but really who needs more than 1024x768 ... ...do much worse than the GNR TS501. The narrow bezel (narrowest available I believe) means that you can gang up two monitors with only a 16mm blank space between them.
Because it's so inexpensive, this monitor opens up a world of possibilities - second monitors, duplicate monitors for video projection etc - that weren't possible even a few years ago. Get in there! ...
