...Yes, I'm sure after my Galaxy review you have realised that, especially since I had eaten the bar before I thought to tell you what was on the individual pieces of chocolate. I am almost sure it is a G but that isn't the basis of this review.

Galaxy Packaging

...one I came across the Galaxy Hot chocolate in the home bargains store and so thought it seemed pretty good as I love Galaxy chocolate anyway and hoped it might taste really nice!
The tub:
The tub is quite narrow but tall as the one I have has an extra 33% more in it. The tub has the usual Galaxy logo on it with the packaging in brown the same as the chocolate bars are. The tub is 266g in size and has all the ingredient information on the label ... ...and maybe even smell of Galaxy chocolate but, was disappointed to find that the powder actually didn't smell at all of the well known chocolate - however once it had water and milk added to it there was then the definite hint of Galaxy smell!
Making it:

It comes in a 28g packet and to me it looks slightly orange but I think it is supposed to be a chocolate colour. It has Galaxy written in brown writing across the middle and instant hot chocolate drink just under ... ...there is 7.5g of real galaxy chocolate in this sachet, allergy advice, which tells you it contains milk and Soya, nutrition information. Per serving this hot chocolate drink has 115 kcal, 3.4g of fat and 19.2g of carbohydrates, not good if you are watching you waist.
To make the drink you simply pour the contents of the packet into a mug and add boiling water, making sure you stir it well or you will be left with lumps at the bottom of your mug, ...

I love Galaxy chocolate it is my favourite, so when I saw Galaxy instant chocolate drink I did not hesitate to buy it, I love a drink of hot chocolate sometimes, especially at bed time.
When I showed it to my husband who is also a chocoholic and a big Galaxy fan he was as excited as me to try it.
As I was waiting for the kettle to boil I was looking at the container, it is a tall plastic jar with the familiar brown and cream and peach labelling ... ...It is made with real Galaxy chocolate but I found no evidence of this in the taste.
Galaxy instant hot chocolate drink costs £1.99 for a 400g jar but I don’t think you will get very many cups from it as so much is needed just to get one wishy washy mug full.
I think my jar will last for a long time though, because neither of us is in a rush to have it again. ...

...am a great fan of Galaxy and instant hot chocolate so when I first layed eyes on the companies new treat, I bought a packet of 6 28g sachets expecting a more luxurios drink than the Cadbury's one I was drinking at the time.
Looking at the box, you are reminded of the smooth, creamy chocolate with almost identical packaging so I considered it definately worth a try. Inside are six little sachets decorated with the Galaxy logo. In the interests of ... ...the drink with milk and putting it in the microwave would have made it taste more like galaxy should.
Overall I was disappointed. I do, however, reccomend Cadbury's 'Highlights' hot chocolate drink as it is alot more tasty and cheap. I now have a big pot of this instead. ...

Galaxy instant hot chocolate is made with my favourite chocolate Galaxy and what more could I ask for as my favourite chocolate now comes in the form of a drink.
Its creamy chocolate is wonderful and is not too strong or over powering as I found with some hot chocolates. It is not too sickly and has a smooth chocolate taste, but be careful as too much powder and it is too strong and not enough and you cannot taste ... ...add 4 heaped teaspoonfuls of Galaxy Instant Hot Chocolate Drink powder and then pour on hot water, not boiling hot water and stir. If you feel like spoiling you self I sometimes add to the top some whipped cream in a can and it melts on top to a great froth.
So get to the shops today and buy a jar you will not be disappointed. ...

...also as I love eating Galaxy chocolate, I thought that the hot chocolate version made by the same company must be a treat.
I was wrong. The instructions are simple and easy - add boiling water to a few heaped teaspoons of choccie mixture, and mix. The result was a watery, tasteless liquid. I followed the instructions. I was bitterly disappointed as I am a fan of Galaxy chocolate. I tried adding more chocolate powder, but this did not make the drink ... ...'is made with real Galaxy chocolate helping make it a deliciously smooth and creamy hot chocolate experience'. It's Codswallop if I've ever heard it before. It's such an untrue statement. I've been eating chocolate for years, from expensive stuff which you don't eat all that often, to stuff from Lidl (which is really tasty too). So I've eaten loads of Galaxy chocolate before and I would say that this hot chocolate does not taste like it's got Galaxy ...

...if this is because the Galaxy bar itself does not contain much cocoa and that the same can be said of the drink. The other negative for me with this drink compared to many of the others is that it has more calories so I was expecting it to be nicer as generally more fattening thigns are yummier arent they! But it really isnt. The Aero drink is roughly 99 calories per cup whereas this was 115. ...

After drinking Galaxy Hot Chocolate, for the first time in my life, I actually considered writing to the manufacturers and telling them how shockingly bad their product is. Obviously, as is the way with these things, I quickly lost the urge through laziness... but I repeat DO NOT BUY IT.
It isn't hot chocolate. It doesn't resemble hot chocolate. If you took some food colouring and dyed your own urine brown (don't for God's sake do ... ...says put in four teaspoons, which, first of all leaves you with about half the tub after just one cup (assuming you wouldn't be stupid enough to buy a big tub). Well, I thought, upon finding myself with some sort of watery pondwater-styled drink, I'll add another spoon. Then I gave it damn good stir to get all the bits off the bottom (as a seasoned ho-cho drinker does) and took my first sip. Urgh! Splutter! Where's the chocolate?!

Galaxy hot chocolate is one of the best hot chocolates i've tried. Especially because all you need to add is water, I do add sugar though, two spoons per mug. The only downside for me is that the jar doesn't last very long, a few cups of hot chocolate each for my partner and I and its finished.
