Garmin NÜVI 250 W

Also it gives you one direction and then immediately tells you which direction to turn next, even if the turning isn't for another 100+ ft. Should you decide not to listen to it's direction it then spouts off "Recalculating route, recalculating route" until you're back on it's calculated course. ...and I stumbled upon the Garmin at a good price in Carphone warehouse one day. The first thing that struck me was at how easy the Garmin was to use - testament to this being an instruction book containing only a few pages which you don't expect when buying gadgets these days! Having owned and used the product considerably over the last 4 weeks I am very impressed, and to me is just as good as a tomtom and am sure it will get me around Europe no sweat. ...

...-tom tom better. some garmin maps are wrong. no updated maps available when I purchased it in december but checked now in feb and updates are there, -but they want £60! because I am a few days over the 60 day limit.! Its supposed to be free for 60 days. The upgrade became available during my "free" period but Garmin didnt notify me despite me signing up on their website the day I biought it and them having my serial number and email address. -shoddy ...
...very aggressive and kept threatenin gto hang up if I didnt listen to her rattling off the corporate line. She refused to accept I registered the unit in december even though they had my serial and my details. She was taking a very rigid definiton if registering to mean connected to usb to their server. I am very unhappy with this garmin. ...
