Advantages: Easy to use, does what it's suppsed to do! Disadvantages: Satellite pairing takes ages, no mains charger!
...reading, I came across the Garmin Nuvi 200w, and a sat nav system that seemed to impress greatly, so i decided to take the plunge and bought one.
Much like many of the reviews I had read on the Nuvi 200w, my first impressions of it were very good. I bought the system off the Littlewoods website, as it had been reduced in a seasonal sale that they were having. This meant that the system was on offer for around £30 less than on any other reputable ... ...not always convenient.
The Garmin Nuvi 200w is a very nice looking piece of kit. It is silver and grey in colour, and it's actual dimensions are 4.8"x2.9"x0.8". It is a very solidly built system, and also has a little bit of weight to it to give it a good quality feel. The screen is a very nice 480x272 pixel widescreen, with a very impressive, brightly coloured touch screen, sunlight readable, anti-glare display. Navigating through the systems menu's ...

...I decided to get the Garmin nuvi 200W. The "W" stands for widescreen. It has the exact features ass the Nuvi 200, but a larger screen. We were in Disneyworld, (you can buy additional countries files, to add to your system), and wanted to go to a Build-a-bear store. Not only did it find the store, but give us wonderful directions, that saved us miles over they way we thought we wanted to go. The "voice" is easy to understand. The touch screen is very ... ..."techie", and worried I would have trouble learning how to use this. It is so easy, a child could use it. The graphics are bright. You can buy a cable on Ebay very inexpensively, that allows you to download graphics for free, and also programs you can buy. I don't know why the cable isn't included, but it was very cheap. I purchased a beanbag type mount for the dashboard, that prevents you from having to use the suction cup mount, which is included. ...

...a pink version of the Garmin Nuevi and I was amazed. Having only used one other type of Sat-nav before, I didn't really know what to expect. Being the passenger in the car, I was in charge of working the sat-nav and concentrating on what it was showing me on the screen. This gadget is amazing.. the map is really clear, with excellent colour coded roads so you know exactly where you are supposed to be going. The voice on the sat-nav is not annoying, ...

As a 100.000 mles a year long distance courier driver, a good sat nav is very important to me. updated because my old sat nav, at 3 years old, was getting a bit dated. OLD SAT FINDS ROADS THAT 200W CANT. maps seem 2 be way out of date. the only sat nav that i know off that does not have traffic light camara's warning. had i known this, it would have been the one thing that would have stopped me buying it. Good points? does what a sat nav is made ...
