...around the clothing. GEORGE is the clothing section of ASDA superstores. GEORGE clothing is designed by the same designer of NEXT clothing (The highstreet shop and mail order catalouge!?) Theres one difference in the clothing though, not the designs - the price! GEORGE clothing tends to be less than half the price of NEXT clothing! YES it's true! So if you enjoy shopping at NEXT, why not take a peek at ASDA's own brand...?
THE CLOTHING
Wow, where ... ...is the main part of GEORGE there is much, much more to choose from including accessories. Now these too are dirt cheap and although not the best quality - they are reasonable enough. Here is a list of available accessories in most ASDA stores:
Jewellery - Ranging from childrens colourful plastic bangles to womens gold necklaces there is a huge range of jewellery available. For children there are small stands that offer bracelets, clip on earrings, ...

...looking for them in ASDA’s George range of clothing. It was a pure coincidence that as we were in Bexleyheath, Kent shopping anyway we popped into ASDA to grab some essential food shopping. It was then we came across was it quite a large section of clothing. This too me was a bit of a surprise as like a lot of people I suppose when they think of ASDA it is food shopping that comes to mind not clothing.
It was in there that they had a huge section ... ...and for Ben from ASDA George range and have been completely satisfied with the lot. The best thing though has to be said is the prices. But take one look at the clothes and you would not believe some of the items were priced at what they are. Some examples of their pricing for the items we purchased are a long sleeve top for £3.50, a couple of pairs of corded trousers for £5.00 each. These are just some of the items we purchased for Ben.
But why ...

Advantages: Price, Quality, Durabilty.... Disadvantages: Not enough Asda stores in my opinion!
...about the lovely people at George at Asda. Prior to having my daughter, as a young carefree girl who went out most weekends, Asda was a godsend. Fashionable clothes at rock bottom prices - it sounds like an ad slogan but its true. And here's the thing, unlike clothes purchased in New Look, which cost slightly more, but feel cheap and fall apart, my George stuff is holding up very well. I especially am a fan of the summer wide sleeve vests which range ... ...is this rapid, but somehow George manages to deliver fashion, bright colours and unbelievably cute clothing for little ones all at teeny prices. Having invested in way too much stuff for my little one before she was born, I had spent £70 on just three baby sleeping bags in Mothercare in the first size. Asda stock these sleeping bags for £10 each which is a heck of a difference. They also have had in some lovely branded stuff for the summer which ...

...television for Asda, and also George at Asda, but with only recently having an Asda move into the area had never previously shopped there.
Since having this new store in town, we have found that we now seem to do our weekly shopping there on a regular basis, previously we shopped at Tesco’s and only seem to just get ‘bits ‘n’ bobs’ from there now. The reason that Asda has gained our custom is that it seems a much friendlier ... ...all, but Tesco’s and now George at Asda seem to have persuaded me otherwise. I first came across ‘George’, when I was school trouser hunting for my son, last September. Living in quite a small town in Cambridgeshire, or it is for shopping - there wasn’t really much choice available to me. Especially shopping for school trousers, I was really limited, apart from Ladybird in Woolworth’s. I have since been advised that ...

...value for money.
The George Label has many different types of clothing available, you want a new pair of socks, they will have them, shoes, with a good variety of different styles from ones appealing to toddlers to comfortable trainers to shoes your grandmother could wear. Other different types of clothing appear seasonally such as raincoats in autumn, warmer, woollen clothes in winter and light, colourful T-shirts in summer.

for underwear, George is exceptional on one side, but very poor on the other. For male consumables such as briefs, boxers and other types of male underwear George is really very good, offering many different styles with different colours and sizes for very, very low prices. Georges socks for example are marvellous, in the winter they stock large, woollen socks which completely repel cold and are the equivalent of keeping your feet wrapped ...

...to things for baby, the George range is in a league of it's own.
The nappies are excellent value for money, as are the baby wipes, shampoo, baby bath etc etc. They even do gift packs for new babies, with baby lotion, shampoo, baby bath etc in them.
The George clothes are fantastic value. I've bought thinngs like vests and pyjamas for the kids with two pairs of full length pyjamas for less than £10. Because our youngest is in the same size clothes ... ...they get a pair each!
The shoes are also good value, especially if you manage to drop in when there's a sale going on. I recently bought a pair of doc marten style boots in a leopard print (nice touchy feely fabric too) for £5!! What a bargain.
For the essentials, like nappies and baby wipes, the prices are really good, especially if you buy in bulk. The nappies are £14.98 for 112 Maxi and the baby wipes work out at less than £1.00 a pack when ...

...weekly shopping and I noticed George clothes for the first time. Many of my friends had recommended them to me before but I had always turned my nose up at them, clothes from a supermarket I scoffed not likely my eldest will get laughed at. ...As you walk into Asda, George range is on the left hand side. There are clothes stacked high on hanging rails and sometimes they have double rails out.
They have their own pay counter within the department so that you do not have to pay for it at the grocery department. There always seems to be plenty of staff on hand and they have gone out of their way to go and get a garment in the back for me if they have not got it out.
There is normally their ... ...the George label which is black with white writing on saying George.

Mens Clothes
Baby Section
Childrens Section
Young Adults Section
Lingerie and Undergarments
Shoes and Slippers

...find myself coming back to. George has been around for some time now, and at first it may have been a bit crappy, however these days you can pick up things that you have seen in other high street shops and many other styles of clothing for less. However, if it’s jeans I need I don’t go anywhere else besides George, simply because the quality of clothing is amazing for the price. Advantages: Quirky, bright items that are actually different to the High Street Disadvantages: Just be careful when putting items on hold...
Oh, I was in love. I hadn't had a pair of Wellington Boots since I was little, and my Grandma had refused to buy me the My Little Pony ones because she said that I was "too old". In essence, for me, this was the next best thing. I saw these Wellies in Asda George, and I just stood there, in awe. One pair was a lilac/pink colour with butterflies on them, and the other pair was black with white spots on them. I tried them on...they were magical. I ... ...times had I stood behind them, envious, wishing I could splish splash too. And at £12 per pair, now I had the chance. Only I had no money. So...I went to the till, and spoke to a lovely gentleman cashier, and he promised to put the items on hold for me. He explained the store policy was to put them on hold for a maximum of 48 hours - I looked at my watch [also from Asda George, by the way]. It was 6pm on a Friday evening, so I promised him I would ...

Well, where else could I get all those essentials (and a couple of non-essentials!) for 5 people at a price that means I can still afford the holiday itself?!

There's even a good range of schoolwear in most Asda stores too - which certainly eases the pain of a new term. Offering skirts, trousers, jumpers, etc in the more common school colours (grey/navy/red/green).

...my three boys since Asda's George range started producing them (at least seven years) and have never been disappointed.
As you may or may not know, boys are not the most helpful at keeping their clothes tear-free, scuff-free and anything else free you care to think of.
