    Advantages Advantages Sausages sausages sausages

Disadvantages Disadvantages Would not cook anything else on it

I like my sausages, especially those exotic flavours, you know, chilli, leek, apricot, apple, that sort of thing. I particularly like them grilled, in order to kid myself that what I will be eating will be healthy rather than the truth, that they will be merely not quite so bad for me. The trouble is, of course, the grill or, in particular the grill on my gas cooker. It's typical in that the space between the grill tray and the grill flames is somewhat small. This has resulted in my sausages and their released fat catching fire or, with the heat turned well down the sausages taking ages to ... more

Advantages Advantages Does get rid of the fat

Disadvantages Disadvantages Dries food up if left too long

I have never considered buying a George Foreman In Grilling Colours Lean Mean Fat Redcing Grilling Machine (what a mouthful). I like a bit of fat in my food, besides I am on the Atkins diet and fat is not a banned item. Still, this Christmas one of my friends bought me a small one, the GR20BW, in mauve. It also comes in green. It has a thermostate but only one heat setting. There is no timer nor an on/off switch, so you have to be in attendance at all times (bit dangerous!) The instructions in the accompanying pamphlet are quite amusing, such as "8. Plug the GRILLING MACHINE into the power ... more

Advantages Advantages Ease of use, extra add-ons and a superb users manual

Disadvantages Disadvantages Food sometimes sliding off the grill

My Experience… Being a student this piece of equipment has been extremely handy indeed. For anyone that is nervous or mediocre at cooking the George Foreman GR20 grill is definitely for you. I'm one of those people, and with the grill I can just put 2 or 3 burgers or sausages on it and leave it - simple! It's also great for anyone in a rush. The cooking surface is quick to reach temperature and a piece of kitchen roll wipes the grill clean afterwards. The only thing you need to worry about cleaning properly is the tray that collects all the fat at the bottom and even that isn't exactly ... more

Advantages Advantages healthy, looks great, easy to use

    Disadvantages Disadvantages lids flops up

We have had varying George Foreman grills in the past - our last one got broke when moving so we bought this one purely and simply because it is in my favoriet colour - purple which is shallow I know but true. Anyway, overall I think this is a great product and has defo helped me on the weightwatchers plan as I know the food is whatever points it says on the packet as cooked on this, there is no no need to add oil or butter etc. Its a no frills product really although still easy on the eye and its a simple on/off device with no temp adjusters or other fancy features but its all you need really ... more

Advantages Advantages Cooks really quick and healthy food

Disadvantages Disadvantages Bit annoying to clean - until you learn the trick!

This machine is really great. My boyfriend bought one for himself when he was in halls and used it in his room - it singlehandedly kept him fed for an entire year! The great thing about the grill is that you can cook so many things on it - steak, chops, vegetables, fish, sausages and many more. You don't have to turn them over, cooking time is reduced, and everything is 'healthified' because of the slanted grill which lets all the fat run off into a container. Its also really easy to clean - the leftovers deceptively look as though they are stuck on for life, but simply re-heat the grill, and ... more

Advantages Advantages No more fatter foods

Disadvantages Disadvantages Drip tray to shallow

I first saw my step father use one of these after he was un well and needed to eat healthy foods. Not long after that my husband and I had to go and get one, why??? I love to toasted sandwichs and in my mind they make the best!! Not only do they do GREAT toasted sandwichs but the grill just about any food, my husband loves the bacon that comes out of it and I was amazed at just how fat came out of three slices of bacon, and the top bit that holds a bun warmer kept the bun nice and warm for the bacon. So how does this thing actually work? well firstly you have to remove it from the box, remove ... more

Advantages Advantages It really does take alot of the fat away

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Sliding food...

I bought my George Foreman about 5 months ago. It has been a great purchase and all for £25 quid on e-bay... I have tried cooking a few different things on the grill, the best in my opinion being chicken breasts. So tender and juicy, and as the fat drips down and into the tray, alot healthier than other cooking alternatives. I also notice how quickly the chicken cooked...no longer than around 5 minutes. I have tried cooking chicken and salad wrapped up in pitta bread just to warm it up, toast the outside a little and to melt the cheese..oh my god! It is brilliant! So delicious that I have now ... more
