    Introduction Georgiana Spencer was an ancestress of Princess Diana and after reading this book I was left with the feeling that sometimes maybe history really does repeat itself. This book is written in an easy to read style making this very much accessible history, full of colour and detail which brings not only the period to life but Georgiana herself. It recounts her many ups and frequent downs. The triumphs and disgraces, her friends, her marriage, her children, her ménage a trois and her lovers.
