    I remember when I used to straighten my hair with the iron and it used to be an awkward affair and the result was never all that impressive. Now these styling irons are fantastic! I have had a few different kinds but was introduced to GHDs about six years ago and now cannot go back to any other brand as these are great! GHD stands for Good Hair Day and it's a very appropriate name! The straightening irons come in different sizes- you can get thick plated ones and thin ones.     My experience- I have very curly hair. It had an extreme tendency to frizz. Unless I do something with it the only way I could leave the house would involve a paper bag! This never bothered me when I was younger, I was oblivious but when I hit puberty how I looked started to matter. My auntie bought me some straightners (I'm not sure what make they were) but I got hooked. Admittedly the ones I was using at the time were not very good but they made my hair slightly better.     Great for your looks but not good on your wallet. MY EXPERIENCE:- I brought my first pair of these straighteners just over three years ago because I was looking for something that will make my hair straight as I have ringlets and it is very hard to tame & one of my friends recommended these to me and the first time I tried them they made my hair really straight and luxurious I was over the moon that I found these.     I saved up for months to buy these as GHDs are so expensive. I got them because my hair is very very thick so it takes forever to staighten and I thought they would be much better than my old babyliss ones. And they did! They worked great and my hair was straight in no time!! After about 7 months they blew up!! I was so sad but luckily I still had the warranty and they were fixed for free. But I went on a look for some other straighteners incase they blew up again and found that ones I found for about £40 worked just as well!!     GHD Straighteners My Experience I bought some original GHD's about 9 years ago and have never looked back! I use them frequently and they are still in great condition and work just as well as when i got them. I have taken them all on holiday with me and to lots of different places and they are still very reliable. When i bought them they were around £100 and this is a lot to pay for straighteners but when you think that i have got 9 years of use out of them and they are still fine then you think its definitely worth it!     This product is expensive, usually retailing at just below one hundred pounds but it does work exceedingly well. The straighteners become hot within seconds and reach very high temperatures- which can be dangerous, but means the product is fantastic for use in a hurry, the cord is long which is a useful feature. The irons work like a dream, each section of hair only needs to be ironed once in order to acheive straight and silky hair- and the effects really do last. Hair is silkly smooth and shiny.     My hair? Fairly frissy and a little wavy! Over the years, I have tried so many straightners from Rimmel to Babyliss, which did the job but NOTHING compared to my GHD Straightners. I got mines as a christmas present from my lovely parents and I was super excited to try them to see if they worked as good as they do in the hair salons. To my amazement - YES YES YES!     Disadvantages Disadvantages the electrical cord flex coming loose and not working as well as it should

    These are the best hair straightners in the world and I have tried many diferent ones. They make my hair very straight and leave it feeling very soft and straight. I have had mine for 3 years wth no problems until now, The flex cord is loose and you have to twist it to get it to warm up, apparently this has happened to quite a few friends of mine and if your warrenty has run out there is nothing that GHD can do.
