The unplugged and amplified tonal quality is "very good to excellent " Although slightly heavier than the Sorrento, it is not a burden after several hours of play like some of the heavy solid body guitars. For me it seems to be a very good guitar for much of the music I play but not a great guitar for all of the music I play.
