...==About Gillette:==
The Gillette Company were founded back in 1901 as a safety razor manufacturer; by 1916 they had developed their first razor for women. Their success has been enhanced by a very successful and prolonged television advertising campaign. In 2005 Procter & Gamble acquired this Boston based company.

==The product:==
Gillette gel for sensitive skin is stored in an effective green, sliver and black airtight aluminium container. It has the famous Gillette logo clearly on the front and is a very clear and easy to read writing on the front. The product has a clear cap, which simply pulls easily off and the product can be easily administered by pressing the button on the top of it and the gel comes out of the plastic nozzle. I am surprised ...

...Satin Care is made by Gillette - a company that has the lion's share of the shaving market it was also a more attractive proposition then some of the lesser known brands available.
Satin Care - Sensitive skin is most definitely aimed at the girlie market with it's turquoise blue can and co-ordinating green lid.It contains 200 mls of shaving foam. Having never used a shaving foam before I was still a bit skeptical as to whether this would help my irritated legs but given the fact that in Bodycare it was only £1.99 I thought it was worth ago. Satin Care is also available in Boots and most leading supermarkets but at the more costly sum of £2.99.
Now as I pointed out earlier I've never ...

...Not any more however, as Gillette have produced a shave gel for sensitive skin which promises to be “Anti Nicks & Cuts”.
Now I admit, I was a bit sceptical about this, how could this possibly work and I admit that my main reason for buying it was that it was only £1.89 in Asda for the 195g can. Does it actually work?

...Gel.
I use a Gillette Mach 3 Turbo Razor and Gillette Shaving Gel for Sensitive Skin. This Shaving Gel is by no means the cheapest brand on the market and at around £1.89 for a 200ml can it is probably at the upper end of the price scale but is something that I have bought consistently over the years. I have tried other Shaving Gels including Supermarket own brand Gels including Asda and Wilkinson's own makes which are generally a fair bit cheaper, but I have found that you need to use a little more to achieve the same lather. I have also tried Shaving Foams too, including Gillette, but I have found that I really can't get on with these at all. The Gel is definitely a lot ...

...their formation by King C Gillette in 1901 Gillette have been innovators in facial hair care and removal. Their products which include Oral-B and Braun are among the most respected around the world. In October of 2005 The Gillette company was purchased by Procter and Gamble, although they still trade under the Gillette name. Recently however their reputation took a little bit of a tumble, apparently they have been caught placing spy cams in supermarkets ... ...Anyway I digress, I buy Gillette because the quality of the products is excellent and although they are slightly more expensive than other popular brands I do think they are worth in in certain circumstances. The Gel which I am reviewing comes in the standard 200ml can and is an aerosol which I know is not that great for the environment, but I only use it rarely. The can is coloured in the usual turquoise colour which has become synonymous with Gillette. ...

Advantages: cuts down friction on face not relationship Disadvantages: Its no better than all the others really
...this product as a ‘gel’, Gillette are hoping to portray a ‘trendy’ image. But to be perfectly honest, other than the initial appearance of the stuff, it differs very little from ordinary shaving foam. It does the job adequately, but not exceptionally. It does cut down on the friction but not on cuts, It does make your skin feel smooth, but so do they all! It makes you smell ‘clean’, they all make you smell clean! I would purchase it again, but only ... ...me!
As for my hairy girlfriend, she came back about half an hour later, grabbed the can and stomped off with it. Screaming the immortal words “hey ass face, if you don’t want it, I’ll have it!” and she’s been using it ever since!
So what have I learned about this product, well it turns ladies legs into a vision to behold and made my face look like a bottom!
I have been reliably informed that this 200 milliltre
can of Gel costs £1.79 from Tescos!

Advantages: WORKS REALLY WELL Disadvantages: BIT PRICEY
I have quite sensitive skin and when it comes to shaving I ususally end up cutting myself, coming up in a rash or getting extremely dry skin. I've now found a superb shaving creme which helps tackle all those problems PLUS others!

...Gary, we’re in total agreement. Gillette was a total delight from beginning to end. Absolute quality. He showed skill, movement and vision. Great sensitivity. Exactly the way the game of football should be played. Workrate? Superb. He flew up and down that wing all night and barely left a mark on the surface, but left all his markers in a right lather. Advantages: Smooth shave, great for sensitive skin. Disadvantages: A lot of competitors have similar and slightly cheaper products.
I could start off by saying that all shaving gels / foams are much of a muchness - they're all pretty much the same - but that would be quite misguided. As a bloke with sensitive skin, I chose this product as it claimed to be 'specially formulated for sensitive skin' or some thing like that. Well, with about 3 day's growth on my face, I decided to try it. The result? I was impressed. Very impressed, actually. Not only did I actually need less gel ... ...nicely, giving me a very clean, close shave. My skin felt cool and fresh afterwards and, though this may be in part due to my razor, it's also a good indication that the gel is doing its job. I had no razor-burn, which was lovely, and the gel has a pleasant fragrance too.
There are a lot of new faces on the market today, such as 'King of Shaves', with their new 'shaving oil' - seen it around? Don't bother. Especially if you are prone to razor-burn ...

...would tell you, about the Gillette Shaving Gel for Sensitive Skin that my other half buys and that I use. It is so much better than the products developed especially for women.
Firstly, it’s a gel and therefore really easy to manage in the hand and on your legs. It’s a cool blue colour, just like toothpaste, but mix it with a little bit of water and it foams up a treat. Once shaved, any excess rinses off really easily with a splash of water, no sponge or high powered shower required. Whether its luck or judgement, but I’ve had no nicks since using it and also, no nasty shaving rashes.
