Givenchy, the very label held such promise as I eagerly opened the box and bared a wrist to soak up the luxury. The first sniff hit me like a hammer. A strong aroma of oranges, lemon and lime caught in my throat and made me cough.
I was being closely observed by my friend, who had entrusted her husband to select a top of the range perfume for me when he went to France for a Christmas shopping trip. This was the perfume he had chosen, after his sister-in-law ... ...like it, not just because that would be rude but also because I didn't dislike it, it was just..... hmm, how do I explain this. I love this perfume so much, I don't know where to begin! I started wearing it over twenty years ago and while other scents may come and go, Eau de Givenchy has remained my favourite. I was flabbergasted when I read the other review of this wonderful perfume. I've actually had complete strangers ask me which scent I was using. I read somewhere that's it's a perfect daytime scent, well let me tell you, I wear it especially at night because men love it! At the end of the day, it's a personal taste issue, but in my view, Eau de Givenchy will always gets five stars. ...
