~*~ The Purchase ~*~ I absolutely love scented candles so I decided to buy a few of these to try after seeing that they were half price in my local Tesco's. ~*~ Price ~*~ Each candle has a recommended retail price of £4.00, but as I said above I managed to get all of mine half price which I'm really pleased with and I would quite happily pay the full RRP when it comes to buying some more due to how long each candle lasts. ~*~ Availability ~*~ These candles are really widely available and they can be found in Wilkinson's, discount stores and a majority of supermarkets. ~*~ Fragrance ~*~ There ... more

Advantages Advantages Longlasting, practical and affordable luxury. The artistic glass bowls act as coloured lamps.

Disadvantages Disadvantages You may find that the creation of unmistakeably romantic and gentle environment generates unexpected results.

Visualise the candlelit evening, yes, as soft flames transform coloured glass bowls into glowing, living jewels whilst you stretch out and luxuriate on the silky sheepskin rugs in the enjoyment of sheer bliss. Relaxation or romance, cushioned in the glow of a heady perfume as it transforms the room…. They are to be found on the shelves of supermarkets and some hardware stores, but I have yet to find these candles stocked in candle shops! This may seem paradoxical, but maybe it has served a purpose after all, in that the supermarket shopper, as perceived by the socio-economic strategists ... more

Glade Scented Candles.Coming up to this time of the year when the night are darker and longer and you just feel like cosying up, I like to have candles lit around the room. I have found that the Glade scented candles are usually on offer around this time too, and I just think that if you are going to have candles lit you might as well use scented ones! I like the range of scents Glade offer and they seem to match the seasons perfectly. These candles come in pretty decorative glass jars so can double as an ornament too. Depending on the fragrance you choose the design on the jar will be ... more

Advantages Advantages Smell nice, look pretty

Disadvantages Disadvantages Hard to light, smell fades quickly, the whole candle doesn't melt

I like having candles in the house especially in the winter as I think the added flames of the canld emakes it feel warmer in the house. I bought a couple of the glade candles from Asda when i found them on the reduced section at £1 each. Glade candles are usually about £4 in price for each one which to bed honest I probably wouldn't pay but if you wait longer enough they do go on offers making them much better value. The Glade range has about 8 different fragrances and each candle is a colour to match the fragrance and is housed in a small glass pot with decorations around the sides. The ... more

Advantages Advantages Nice smells, good way to decorate

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

Glade candles are a great inexpensive way of fragrancing and decorating your home and bringing a bit of warmth to your living space. I have used a number of these candles over the years and have always liked the way they work and set the scene and make my house feel lovely and homely. I think they are good quality candles, they are not as well made or as fabulous as Yankee Candles in my opinion but then they are much cheaper than these too so they are a great way of decorating with candles without breaking the bank. Glade produces a number of different candles in different patterned glass ... more

    Advantages Advantages Smells delicious.

Ever on the lookout for new products to enhance the aroma around my house, I spotted Glade scented candles in my local supermarket. I usually opt for pillar candles but find they can be messy with dripping wax and I've always had a sense that an open flame can be dangerous, especially with a cat in residence which has a propensity to climb in the most un-cat friendly places. AN S.C.JOHNSON COMPANY: A familiar name on the high-street, a brand which prides itself on a well earned reputation, with high qualty manufacturing and good family ethos! Founded in 1886 by Samuel Curtis Johnson the ... more

Advantages Advantages strong smell - small and portable - easy to light - doesn't give off much noticable smoke

    Disadvantages Disadvantages price

I have always had candles in my living room - There is nothing better than sitting down in front of a warm fire watching a film with candles blazing around the room - When I moved into my new house I found that due to it being empty for a while there was a musty damp smell lingering around the place and I decided that instead of placing air freshners in the room I would use Glade Scented Candles - in particular the Vanilla scent. 4 of the candles were picked up for £3.49 each from Tesco's - I have seen them in nearly every supermarket so availability isn't an issue. The candles come in a glass ... more

Christmas is coming, it's getting colder outside and there's nothing more relaxing than sitting infront of the television or curled up with a book on the sofa, with lots of beautiful smelling candles around you. There is nothing more i would recommend then lots of candles around you to provide a relaxing and warming environment, maybe also romantic some would say. I would highly recommend the new generation of candles which have been created by Glade, they are called Glade Three Scents. The Candle itself has three tiers of different scents, the one that i purchased was the Glade Three Scent ... more

Advantages Advantages available in lots of colours and fragrances, last a while

Disadvantages Disadvantages scent could be stronger

I like my home to be welcoming and warm when I entertain guests and have experimented with various home scenter products. Candles are my favourite as they add to the atmosphere and interest in the room as well as giving it a nice scent. I find them to give a room a homely, cosy feel. I invested in a glade candle for this purpose recently, for my lounge. I bought a 2 scents candle - seasonal spices 'cinnamon' as this is one of my favourite festive scents. The candle was £1.50 from Wilkinson and came in a thin glass container (almost bowl shaped) There are 2 obvious layers to the candle - the ... more

    Advantages Advantages Nice smell

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Much too weak

Last night I expected my house, or at the very least my living room to be full of the smell of spiced apple after purchasing one of these Glade Scented Oils candles for £3.75. For that you get a glass holder and 2 scented oil refills. The scented oils are a solid block like a candle with a metal wick by which it is secured to the aluminium centre piece in the glass holder. When you light the normal wick the candle melts to leave the liquid oils in the jar which then burn off. Well the smell is very nice but it is in no way strong enough and unless you were really standing by it you could not ... more
