Glasgow Came Alive...

AdvantagesIn Op

DisadvantagesIn Op

"...not least, was Travis, the Glasgow boys had a show to put on, a finale to my first festival, and great it was too. I am not a major Travis fan but their performance was full of energy and you couldn't help but applaud them. The crowds were jumping about when hits like Sing and Why does it always rain on me were being performed. Magic. The atmosphere was brilliant, the crowd was terrific and the music was marvellous! What more could a girl want, ..." Read review

Gigging at the Green.

AdvantagesAll your favourite bands, almost in your back garden.

DisadvantagesNo Radiohead, but who said it was perfect?

"...Mansons' long awaited appearance in Glasgow was not as spectacular as expected. He appeared to have a sore throat, leaving the audience to do most of the singing for him, although i must admit the visual performance was very interesting. "The Beautiful People", "Rock is Dead" and "The Dope Show" did go down well with the most of the crowd, despite Mr. Mansons lack of actual singing. Blood sweat and rock n roll

AdvantagesStereophonics, And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of The Dead, FOO FIGHTERS!

DisadvantagesWater £1.50 a cup. Yeah right. Toilets were not an option...

"...running from the police outside Glasgow Central Station, waiting in a line outside the venue for two hours (despite being right at the front). I distinctly remember having to repeatedly remind myself that this was going to be the best weekend ever. I wasn't dissapointed. When I entered Glasgow Green that Friday morning I couldn't recognise the place. Surrounded by fences, tents, food stalls, posters. As I mentioned my mates and I were at the very ..." Read review

About time!

AdvantagesDecent line ups for a first time festival

DisadvantagesDisappointing that more bands from Reading won't come north

"...not Macy Gray headlining. Well, Glasgow Green, as the new baby sister to Reading and Leeds should prove to be an instant success. While it is disappointing that so few acts have been coaxed north of the border from the English festivals, the organisers have done suberbly well to assemble a formidable line-up. The Stereophonics are the highlight on Friday and Saturday will rock to the Foo Fighters' beat and sing along with Oasis. The first year of ..." Read review
