    Advantages Advantages Providing large space for emails, pop3 access is free, etc,

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Interface is a bit simple.

    Hi friends with my first review on Gmail. This review is not on the product. This review is on Gmail which provides you a great account for sending electronic mails as well as saving contacts and other information's. Like Yahoo, Hotmail and other email services Google provides us the facility of email account. But it is too different from to the Hotmail and Yahoo. When you visit the Hotmail and Yahoo for making an account you can click on the Sign up button to create a new account. But at Gmail you never saw any button of Signup to create an account. You can create an account with the help of ... more

    Advantages Advantages Very Fast, Good spam filter, great clean interface and mail system, exclusive

    Disadvantages Disadvantages some ads present, still 10MB file limit, naming system

    ~~~~~~~~Intro~~~~~~~~ To follow on from my review of the fastest ADSL service in the UK, I decided to write a review of the biggest (and potentially fastest) mail service on the internet. Yes, I am talking about Gmail, the exclusive beta mail system from Google which is under testing and gives a whopping 1GB of space to its users. As the marketing proudly informs me, I will never have to delete another email again, and I will always have my information ready at my finger tips with a quick search should I want to dig something up. ~~~~~~~~Specs.+ Features~~~~~~~~ So, what do you get? The ... more
    4 Stars GEE! YOU`VE GOT MAIL! Review with images 24/03/2005
    User recommends the product
    Advantages Advantages 2086 MB storage space, searching for emails is based on the Google search engine, still fairly new so good email addresses are up for grabs, email grouping to form a conversation
    Disadvantages Disadvantages Attachments are limited in size to 10 MB, Cannot import contacts from AOL at the present time.
    We’ve all got email addresses, most of us more than one, and although the one that is associated with our Internet service provider is almost certainly the main one we use it never hurts to have a back up or two in case of connectivity problems. Up until now the big hitters in the free web based email business have been Hotmail and Yahoo, but now there’s a new kid on the block, and it is from the creators of the most used search engine on the net – Google. But why would you need yet another email address? Well, Gmail is a little different from the other web based email clients, as I will try ... more
    Advantages Advantages Huge Storage, Searchable
    Disadvantages Disadvantages People not on Gmail don't like big threads of mail
    Gmail is a web based email service from Google, which has been available for a couple of years, at first by very strict invitation only. It is still in Beta testing although now it is much easier to find someone to give you an invitation for an account, than it used to be. Firstly, there has been some controversy about its name and that might cause confusion over email addresses. When the name Gmail was launched, Google were sued in more than one country over the use of the name. Other companies claimed to be using the name already. In the UK, amazingly for a big company, Google gave up the ... more
    Let me start by saying that if you really just want the most basic info. about GMail then rather than sit and read through all this, skip down to where it says '-Basic Stats & Summary/some basic Q&As-' there's plenty enough info. from the start of that section to the end of the review to help you so you don't need to read my entire review and for everyone else wanting to know more details and get a better idea of the bigger picture, keep reading, ill start by saying how I signed up with GMail... I got an invitation to get a free account with Gmail a year or so back and I don't regret signing ... more
    Advantages Advantages 1000MB of storage space, easy to use, professional features allow users to tune the way it works
    Disadvantages Disadvantages New kid on the block (still under testing), you may have a gmail account only by invite
    INTRODUCTION E-mail has become the most efficient way of sending and receiving documents and messages (although instant messaging is equally as good). When Google first announced its new service, Gmail, there was a lot of speculation over privacy issues. Many felt their e-mails would be subject to being read by strangers, and their e-mails would be scanned for keywords for advertisement purposes. Let me explain how Gmail works, though... PRIVACY Google has explained that it by no means reads your e-mails. The process of adding advertisements is done automatically, and so their is no human ... more
    Having been a Gmail user for several years now, I thought I would write a review about the ever so growing and popular email provider. Having used hotmail for several years before the invention of gmail, I grew sick and tired of the small storage spaces; countless number of junk emails and annoying pop ups that just would leave the screen. Then one day, I was sent an email by my cousin, who just so happens works for Google. The email read "gmail invite, click link", so I clicked and was taken to the gmail homepage, were I signed up for a new email account. At first I didn't really expect much ... more
    5 Stars G-Mail - Its GREAT-Mail! Review with images 25/03/2005
    User recommends the product
    Advantages Advantages 1GB (1000 MB) free storage, easy to use, never need to delete again!
    Disadvantages Disadvantages Layout does take some getting use to, Restricted signup.
    Many people, by now, may know exactly what g-mail is. However, there is still the other lot of people who don’t know what it is. The main aim of this review is to inform those people what it is. *Introduction* G-mail is another free email service that has recently joined the bandwagon of existing services. It is developed by Google, as many may know own the worlds biggest search engine. However, it is very unique to other providers in terms of what you get. G-mail offers 1 GB (or 1000 MB). Technically, 1GB is actually 1024 MB, however, there is no need to go into detail here. Hotmail does ... more
    Advantages Advantages 1000mb, Clean quick interface and various other great features.
    Disadvantages Disadvantages Might as well be called ' Big Brother '
    GMAIL Email like no other. I have used a fair amount of email services in my time, from the horlocks of Hotmail to the slow and always down mail.com – Yahoo was probably the best but it never received the popularity of Hotmail and has been heavily beaten in the instant messaging wars. Suddenly, Gmail has hit the scenes and is changing how we think of email – leaving a wake of controversy yet flocking in the users. The fact that you can’t go to Gmail and sign up like any other free webmail service, has increased its popularity along with the constant hampering from the media and the threatened ... more
