Golden Axe: Beast Rider (Xbox 360)

Surprising poor attempt by Sega to revive a classic hack 'n' slash! The game itself seems to be put together in a very lazy way. The transition from a Japanese game into the English version feels like a last minute rush with areas of the game bordering on confusing and misleading. The surroundings (such as buildings, landscape etc) are totally fixed and non-interactive. The enemies spawn in a very 'one size fits all' generic style. Having said all ...
...to play. If you can see past the games many flaws and accept it for what it is (a fun hack 'n' slash) then you will enjoy this game. Just don't expect an in depth, detail rich, fully interactive masterpiece as promised by Sega. All the characters from the original game are present and carries some themes from the original game also. Overall - A poor attempt by Sega, but never-the-less fun to play, for a while! I have given this game only two stars ...

Golden Axe Beast rider in my opinion is a game which requires a in depth play before judgment or rating is made. The game itself starts out with our lead character finding herself surrounded by a horde of enemies. I was easily able to dispatch the enemies without having to first read through the instructions to kill the enemies. The game itself allows the user to control over 4 beast types each with individualistic skills. Overall the game itself ...
...as dispatching enemies with familiar faces from the Golden Axe world. Overall i would rate this game at 8.5/10, with a fun factor of 10/10, the game has received mixed reviews however for all those out there who like themselves a good old fantasy game this is a definite purchase. ...
