Advantages: Excellent loyalty programme which saves you money in vouchers and off bills
Disadvantages: none

...LOYALTY PLAN The Goldfish card has a loyalty plan which is run in conjunction with British Gas and the Gold Corporation. Basically every time you use your card you will get one point for every WHOLE pound spent. Please be aware that points are awarded for each transaction in whole pounds. This means that if you have 10 transactions at £9.99 you will only get 90 points not 99. These points will remain on your card for 5 years after that they will ...

Point’s value for this is 0.8 pence. The Goldfish Travel Service, you get between 5% and 17% off selected holidays when purchasing with your card. This costs 500 points to register and each time you use the service. Also Goldfish Travel Insurance - points ...

You can trust your Goldfish Update

Advantages: Efficient service, good web site, rewards.
Disadvantages: None

I have had my Goldfish card ever since they were first available and I have yet to be disappointed by it. I don’t have to pay an annual fee for the privilege of using this card, which is one of its main selling points as far as I am concerned. I have also been able to change the monthly payment date to suit my own financial circumstances. I always pay my bill in full every month so I have not done any research into whether the Goldfish Card ...
...The customer care from Goldfish is excellent. When my house was burgled and my credit cards stolen, Goldfish were efficient and friendly in making sure that I was not out of pocket, and my card was replaced right away. The Goldfish insurance on purchases is great too. I once bought a television together with five years extra warranty, from a company that subsequently went bust. Goldfish refunded the money for the extra warranty without any trouble ...

Credit Card Sir - That will do nicely

Advantages: Excellent customer service and rewards scheme. Internet access.
Disadvantages: High APR?

...etc. * £1 = 1 Goldfish point. 1000 points gets you a choice of vouchers [tip here is to go 0for the John Lewis vouchers – a) you get a £10 voucer for 1000 points, and b) if you spend them at John Lewis, they give you change in CASH, not more vouchers] What about the APR??? Well, I haven’t a clue (but over 15% I would imagine). My advice……..don’t use a credit card for credit. If you need a loan, then you can get ones ...
...it, then don’t buy it. Goldfish provides an opportunity to MAKE money out of the whole credit market, so why not take advantage? I’ve been with them for around 2 years now, and service has always been good. They keep a close eye on fraudulent use, and I have never had a worry about using it to shop online. Even if you choose not to go with “The Fish” then perhaps the ones to avoid would be the ones that fall through your ...

Golden Goldfish

Advantages: Great points scheme
Disadvantages: APR could be better

I have had the Goldfish card for about 3 years now (at least!) I must have been one of their first customers, and have been on the whole very happy with the card. There are a number of key areas that should be mentioned :- APPLICATION PROCEDURE :- Generally smooth and efficient. One problem with Goldfish is that they are very risk averse. If you have a poor credit history you will be rejected. Even if you have a good credit history you may also be ...
...(e.g. MBNA gave me 10k, Goldfish only gave me 3k!). This was a pain when I moved hose and put a lot of items on my credit cards. I would have preferred to use Goldfish for the points, but quickly reached my limit. The card is also available in Visa or Mastercard and there are different card designs that you can choose ? Two fish facing, , Fish Bowl, Scales and a few others. All are very attractive, and you have to choose them on application. On application ...

...rate my opinion on the Goldfish Card. I have been using the Goldfish mastercard (operated by HFC bank) for nearly four years and am very satisfied both with the ‘product’ itself and the quality of customer service provided. As with any credit card, interest becomes payable on any outstanding balance shown on your account statement which you do not pay off within the required period. This is 21 days from the statement date, which means ...
...~ IS GOLDFISH FOR YOU? ~ The suitability of a credit card depends to a large extent on what kind of credit card user you are. If you operate your account with an outstanding balance, then the interest rate is of crucial importance, as the higher the interest rate the more you will have to pay. If you pay off your entire balance every month then the interest rate is of no particular significance, but other factors (loyalty schemes etc.) may sway ...

Les Poissons Rouges Ne Rebondissent Pas

Advantages: Great customer services
Disadvantages: Not great interest rates

...Pas is French for “ Goldfish don’t bounce !! “ Well they don’t … goldfish don’t bounce … they just go … “ ahhhhhh ( that’s the sound of a falling goldfish ) … SPLAT !! Or if your goldfish is overweight then maybe it’s more like … “ ahhhhhh … THUD !! “ Or if you have one with the big pokey outey eyeballs then it’s more like … “ ahhhhhh … SPLAT !! POP !! POP !! “ Or even … “ ahhhhhh … SPLAT !! sizzzzzle !! “ when you drop one in the frying pan ...
...But we’re not talking real goldfish here, we’re talking the plastic kind that unlike cheques, which have a habit of bouncing, are infact credit cards and therefore don’t bounce either. Well … okay they do kinda, but only a little !! Anyway the Goldfish CC ( Credit Card ) is a little more snazzy that a normal CC as even though they are the same shape and size as any other CC the picture on the front is different. I’m not sure just how many different ...

...up! I've had a Goldfish card for several years - ever since First Direct got rid of their points scheme on their old credit card, in fact - and I must have had several hundred pounds' worth of vouchers in that time I put most of my spending through my card rather than through my bank account and pay my bill every month. Schemes available currently include: - Savings on British Gas bills (gas and electricity, max £75 per year) - Discounts on AA ...

UPDATED We get along swimmingly

Advantages: Generous rebate, widely accepted
Disadvantages: None

I’ve had my Goldfish credit card now for several years, and have found it to offer the second-best return. It gives you the equivalent of 1% back on what you spend, although admittedly not in cash. As an aside, the GM Visa card is still the best value credit card for rebates, giving you up to 6% of your spend back off a Vauxhall. If you want to know more about this, please see my earlier opinion. Anyway, back to the Goldfish card – here are the ...

Disadvantages: No complaints from me!

I've had a Goldfish Mastercard (They offer Visa too) for over a year now and have been wholly pleased with it. The application process for me was very quick and I received my card within 10 days. ...wallet I carry around a Goldfish - I know I should keep it in a tank so please don't tell the RSPCA, but a tank doesn't fit in my back pocket and I don't want a wet bum either !! Actually, this Goldfish is a little plastic card with some nice pictures of fish on it - and when I go shopping with it, it brings a smile to my face as I use it to pay for my purchases. ...rewards scheme - so really there's nothing unusual about it. It's accepted as any other credit card is - home and abroad, let's you buy now and pay later and allows you to withdraw cash. The incentive scheme is OK - I reckon it works out at around 0.8% or so - special offers can improve it from time to time, but you could do better elsewhere. (Egg pays 1%). The internet application form is quick and easy and my initial credit limit was in my opinion ...

A Better Credit Card

Before Goldfish I was a Barclaycard user, purely because as a student they offered no annual fee and some sort of gift for joining at the time. For those of you leaving a balance on your card the APR is 18.9%, granted this isn't brilliant, however the interest rates are not a concern of mine. Each time you make purchase using your Goldfish you gain Goldfish points that can be used for a variety of different things. This was much better than the old Barclaycard points which you could ...

...ago, I switched to the Goldfish card, and find that it has a number of advantages: 1.For every pound I spend on the card, I have a points credit worth 1 penny. With an average card spend per month of around £300, this gives me an annual bonus of around £36. 2.These points can be exchanged as a credit against my B.G. gas bill, or TV licence etc. Alternatively, the points can be exchanged for Boots, Asda, Halfords, or a wide range of other vouchers. ...

...me? Well, if you use goldfish you will be well aware of the advantages of the card. With all purchases, as with many other cards you accrue points. These points are more rewarding than most other credit cards, and you can exchange them for store vouchers, like Asda, Boots or John Lewis, etc. The best value is the exchanging of points for vouchers to spend in Asda and John Lewis, because you get more cash for the points. It works out to about one percent cash back,on the stores mentioned, and there are also other voucher/payment schemes for other companies. If you spend £ 1000 per month on your card you get £10. This soon mounts up. The theory is, if you always pay your balance off in full every month and do not pay interest, you should use the card for every ...
