Fancy a 'Pizza' this?

Advantages: Cheap, Quick & Easy, Vegeterian
Disadvantages: May not suit meat eater and contains trans-fats

...about my experience of the Goodfellas Delicia Mediterranean Pizza. I am a huge fan of Pizzas and absolutely love the Pizza Express range of Pizzas - especially the Sloppy Giuseppe! I prefer pizza with lots of meat and peppers on but am definitely open to all sorts of pizzas. Apparently there are around 250 million frozen pizzas (they are actually all cooked first I believe!) eaten in the UK each year - an average of 9 per household. I personally ...
...the distinctive packaging of the Goodfellas Delicia Mediterranean Pizza. I then looked at the ingredients and information about it and it said... "Thin Italian-style stone-baked pizza base, spread with a rich sun-dried tomato and basil sauce, melting creamy mozzarella and cheddar cheeses. Piled with juicy chargrilled chunks of courgette, aubergine and red & yellow peppers, then smothered with a provencale herb butter to finish" Hmmm... sounds quite ...

Disadvantages: The need for two, Damage in transit

...Who are they? ********************************* Goodfellas are a pizza manufacturer based in Ireland, and to the extent of my knowledge restrict their business to the United Kingdom and Ireland (Message me if you know more) Their advertising and publicity campaigning, is somewhat successful, leaving Goodfellas with an irresistible reputation, that fits perfectly into the '9-5 working family meal' niche. They market themselves as a non-junk food ...

I'm gonna give you a pizza my mind goodfella

Advantages: Quick, Easy cook
Disadvantages: High in saturated fat

...in the world. Goodfellas Delicia Mediterranean Pizza :~ So is this pizza better for us, by calling it Mediterranean you would think so. people in the med live longer, you have seen all the adverts olive oil marg instead of butter, pasta and tomato sauce, showing, (have to be politically correct here), the more mature generation running and jumping and god forbid getting up to hanky panky. But checking the label this 300g pizza has a whopping 11.6g ...
...penny more buys you a Goodfellas Delicia Mediterranean Pizza. To get this bargain of a life time you need to dash to Asda and fill that shopping trolley. It also has a best before date of December 2007 so if you love pizza lots you could have it for Christmas dinner and it still only cost you £1. Packaging :~ Lots of packaging for frozen food is normally over sized making you think the meal inside is bigger than it actually is. But the pizza is ...

Goodfella's True Mediterranean Pizza

Advantages: Great taste, Cheap, Easy to cook
Disadvantages: Not the most healthy pizza

...in the mood for a Goodfellas Delicia Mediterranean Pizza. I expect it makes you feel the same way too. Now apart from that, what makes you want to but one of these pizzas? What makes it stand out from the rest? Well to be perfectly honest not a lot. However it is still one of the best Mediterranean pizzas that you can buy from your local supermarket, and I will tell you why. The price is a big factor that influences a lot of people to buy this ...
...such as Tesco and Iceland, this pizza gives a lot of competition for its price. When browsing the pizza section at Tesco, you will skim over a lot of prices, mostly ranging from two pounds to three pounds. So being in the low two pound mark is a great edge for the pizza, and helps you out if you are on a tight budget, and especially good for students like me. The packaging of the pizza has vibrant colours to help make it stand out in the crowd of ...

Sumptuous Flavor of the Mediterranean in your home

Advantages: Tastes great, inexpensive, not too unhealthy
Disadvantages: Not healthy enough to eat everyday

...to treat yourself than a Goodfellas Delicia Mediterranean Pizza, for a mere £2 this delight can be yours. The flavors from this pizza when cooked, all compliment each other wonderfully to provide a rich and spicy mediterranean taste. The box recommended half of the 300g pizza as a serving I found that on it's own this was not quite enough, however served with a garlic bread, fries, or a good salad half the pizza was fine. How to cook it: I have ...

The second attempt at cooking it I was satisfied but found parts of the crust had cooked more than others creating an uneven texture, and a bitter taste. On the third attempt however I looked at the instructions on the box and since then I have used this method cook in the oven on a flat base( what I didn't do in attempt two.) ...

Advantages: Great if you're a vegetarian
Disadvantages: None if you like peppers !!!

...sure I also bought the Goodfellas Deeply Delicious Spicy Chicken Sizzler, which forms part of a separate review. So having got home, I decided that I would give it the benefit of the doubt, and try it with my son with a side salad and a side dish of garlic bread topped with melted cheese. Of course the obligatory parmesan cheese was eager to join this wondrous meal. ***** Packaging ***** The side of the box described the pizza as " A Thin Italian-style ...

Delicious Delicia

Advantages: Attractive, tasty, good selection of vegetables, reasonably price
Disadvantages: Modified starches and hydrogenated vegetable fat

I'm not a huge fan of ready-made meals, but occasionally we do indulge in some kind of frozen pizza. Our supermarket stocks quite a variety, and the choice seems to change every time I look. A few weeks ago, wanting a quick meal for a busy evening when my husband was away, I decided to try one that's only recently appeared: Goodfella's Delicia Mediterranean. This claims to be a 'new' product, but I believe it was previously marketed as 'thin crust ...
...considered healthy to have a 'Mediterranean' diet! One of my sons is a vegetarian, the other is rather fussy about vegetables but does like courgettes, peppers and tomatoes. I'm always keen to provide maximum nutrition even when buying a quick meal. We all agree that we prefer thin crust to thick, and none of us much likes olives. From the rather tasty-looking picture on the front of the box, it seemed that this would meet all our requirements. ...

...said I had eaten the Goodfellas Delicia Mediteranean Pizza before working a 12 hour shift tonight, I actually had the Goodfellas Sweet Chilli Chicken. However, as I am always in a rush for one reason or another, I do tend to eat a disproportionate amount of pizzas and I have recently consumed the Mediteranean Goodfellas on several occassions. ...a pleasant tasing pizza. Goodfellas have several varities of different flavours, different thickness of crust, so they have a good selection. I like the Goodfellas pizzas, but in all honesty, i don`t stick to the pizza or even the brand. I like a variation and I also like saving money. I tend to go for the brand names as they are often nicer than cheaper pizzas. As a rule though, I will always select the pizza that has money off or is buy one get ...

A Good fella to have in the freezer?

Advantages: Vegetarian pizza
Disadvantages: Not for meat lovers1

Relaxing with a glass of chilled white wine and soaking up the superb Sardinian view, is one of my memories of our first holiday in Sardinia. Feeling tired after travelling I ordered a pizza, thinking it would be light and easy to eat. Goodfella's Mediterranean pizza does remind me of the pizzas I ate in Italy, but on a much smaller scale! But it is still very tasty, light and easy to eat! Why buy a frozen pizza? ************************** I'm ...
...but not in fast food restaurants, those days when our children were younger are now over, but I still enjoy a pizza and although I prefer to make my own (or to be truthful my husband makes them!) having a pizza in the freezer is good if unexpected visitors arrive for lunch or if someone comes home late and fancies a snack. A frozen pizza can be just as good as a fresh, as they are frozen very quickly with the vegetables in tip top condition. Where ...

Goodfellas - our favourite pizzas

Advantages: Fantastic blend of flavours
Disadvantages: Too crispy round edges

...but, in line with other Goodfellas products - the blend was absolutely perfect. You could actually taste the flavour of most of the toppings (perhaps with the exception of the courgettes/zuccini, but then they really only taste of water). A really nice pizza. The size is absolutely perfect for two to share - we couldn't have managed another mouthful - no, let me change that, I couldn't have, but I'm sure my pizzaholic daughter could have done. ...

Goodfellas - The Mediterranean Gets Made

Advantages: Thin base & easy to prepare
Disadvantages: Plastic cheese & the taste

As a student, I find the allure of a meal that involves zero preparation all to much, and therefore I am in the unusual position of being an expert of pizza. The Goodfella's pizza range is well established, and the Delicia range has been on the shelves for roughly 3 years. The Competition is fierce in this market, with other well known brands such as Chicago Town or Ristorante fighting for consumers. The Delicia range normally prices up just north ...
...with the average Goodfella's prices, is the highest on the market. This then raises the question, is the pizza worth the money? The Delicia is not exactly difficult to prepare, remove packaging cook for 10-12 minutes. Which means, bar any slip-ups (as in dropping it), the pizza is ready to eat in about a quarter of an hour. This is pretty much the norm, so no extra points really scored there. The most important thing though, is the taste. The initial ...

MMMMM Pizza!

Advantages: MMMM mmmmm mmmmm
Disadvantages: Can leave you wanting more than 1 pizza let alone 1 slice!

Hopefully this won't be too biased considering my favourite food is pizza! I eat pizza, and lots of it, so i consider my self quite a connoisseur, i have tasted many varietys and many types from many places, so trust me! The pizza when you remove it from the packaging looks ok, but thats as good as frozen gets, the topping is all the way to the edge and spread evenly with a good amount of topping, not just dumped in the middle. Cooks well with ...
...could be thicker but thats my taste although i understand that these are available in "Deep Pan" variety. MMmmm just tasted, and have to say its quite delicious, the cheese is nice, the peppers and tomatoes are also crunchy and moist not dryed out though. just right. I find this Pizza good, but not brilliant, there are a lot better pizza's available than this but if in a rush and only have a tight budget then this IS a good option, if however you ...

Wouldn't buy this again

Advantages: Nice, crisp bread crust
Disadvantages: Unpleasantly oily, strange aftertaste, soggy centre

We bought the pepperoni delicia and the ham and pineapple from Farmfoods. First of all, I don't like ham and pineapple pizza, and despite removing the pinapple, this was an unpleasant experience for me and I only managed a slice. However, I was aware of an odd, taste - difficult to describe, but something like an entire pot of mixed herbs mixed with olive oil and a splash of vinegar. I found the taste overpowering and not particularly pleasant. ...
...coupled with an incredibly oily finish. Pepperoni pizza tends to be oilier than say, chicken, but it is one of my favourite toppings. It is important to stay the hand when adding oil to pepperoni pizza because of the high oil content of the meat, but the Delicia was an indigestion inducing double whammy. The pepperoni itself, was of a good quality and tasted pretty authentic. The dough was good and had a fresh yeasty flavour and was crunchy, but ...

Quick review of Goodfellas Delicia Mediterranean Pizza

This pizza is just heaven on a plate. It brought back memories of my summer holiday last year, sitting near the sea with the glorious sunshine and just sipping sangria and sharing a homemade pizza, with my partner, as I said just heaven. It tasted authentic and definetely value for money. There was ample vegetables and just enough cheese, and the base was lovely and light. It tasted so good it is hard to believe that it is a frozen pizza! It looked attractive on the packaging too. I will definetely stay loyal to this brand if it continues to taste and cost this good. ...
