The Google toolbar is a small download available from the well-loved speedy searcher, www.google.co.uk, then head for Google Toolbar at the bottom of the page. I got the Google toolbar when I heard that it had a pop-up blocker, this was quite a long time ago so there weren’t as many pop-ups then. But now this toolbar is fabulous, it blocks around 50 a day, which is brilliant and not only does it have a pop-up blocker, it also has a whole host of other features. ...my second review on a Google product; my first being on Google Earth. I like almost all off Google's products and I am a fan of Google in general. What appeals to me about Google is that most products are simple, clean and free.

The Google tool bar is a very simple browser enhancment that allows you to search the web with Google from any web location. One of the great uses for the tool bar it to search within a specific website. Because of the sheer size of the Google index it is almost certain that Google will have information about the site you are on at any time. Lets say you are on a website and you want to find out about something specific you can type your search term ... ...terms and hit rerurn. A google results page will then appear on your browser. ...I was introduced to the Google Toolbar.
The Google Toolbar isn't just a pop-up blocker, it also has a search facility which obviously uses the Google search engine. Other facilities that the Google Toolbar has are things like Current News, where it will take you to Google News for latest up-to-date news articles. It also has an Autofill option. I find the Autofil option quite useful. Basically when you click on the 'Options' Icon on the Google Toolbar ... ...having to go to the Google website all the time to do a search. You will find that the pop-up blocker will not always stop pop-ups. For some reason there are some that get through, but i'm not sure why that happens. Whenever a pop-up has been blocked, it will make a little noise that makes you aware. If on some websites you wish to have or need to have the pop-ups appear, then all you need to do is go on to that website and click the blocked button ...

...know its not an official Google Toolbar but I thought it needs a mention. It is basically the same as the IE version but it works with Firefox which is a better web browser overall.
You have special searches to search your Gmail account and usuals such as web and images. You also have the I'm feeling lucky search.
The option to highlight the seaarched words is still there with an extra feature which is really useful. Basically it is the opposite. ... ...features than this is a good toolbar to get. it is the same and better.
The only criticism I have with the Googlebar is that it is not as professionally made as the proper Google Toolbar for IE but you get use to it.

...was asked whether to install Google ToolBar. I would normally choose no as I didn't want to fill many things to my fabric IE browser. Just few days ago, a friend recommended me to install Google Toolbar due to a number of annoying popups. I did and I found it is a great toolkit when we surf on the internet.

1. Popup blocker. I probably would put this as the most useful function as my initial aim to use Google Toolbar is to block popups. The google toolbar can be customise to search google.co.uk, google.com or any other google on the web and you can add or remove buttons so it doesn't look so cluttered.
The toolbar collects some information about usage but this can be disabled.
I think this is a must have toolbar !! ...

I use Google everyday and having the toolbar is a bonus. I can't believe as of today's date that there is only 4 opinions written. The toolbar makes it so accessible for information, just typing in literally anything and within seconds of hitting the enter button, you have your links etc. I use it to find out anything and everything. Just type in the key words and your in. Even if you've forgotten the full web address, just type into google and there ... ...to its full potential, I know they don't at my work. In fact anytime people wants to find out information they come to me, because more often or not, with the help of GOOGLE TOOLBAR I can have the info they need in seconds. Its a God Send. ...
