Getting the right car seat is so important for your children's safety and it is one of the areas where I don't mind spending a little bit more money in order to get the right one. There is not much difference in age between our two daughters, so we found ourselves recently with the need to be buying replacement car seats for both of them. As they are now both over three, there was no longer any need to get ones with a five point harness, but what I did want to do was to get ones which would last them all the way through to the time when they will no longer need one and would be safe. I looked ... more

Most parents will be aware that it is a legal requirement for children under the age of 12 to use a car seat nowadays (unless they are over 135cm tall.) This particular car seat is a group 2/3 type which the manufacturers state is suitable for children from 3-12 years of age (approximately 15-36kg), as it converts from a forward facing car seat into a booster cushion when appropriate. We've used this particular car seat, the Graco Junior Highback, since my oldest son was around four years old and he, at eight, he still uses this as a booster cushion. Personally, I wouldn't feel comfortable ... more

My son has got 2 car seats one for our car and one for his grandparents car, we felt it was time to buy him a new one to go out with his grandparents as the one he currently has is starting to get too small. A few weeks ago I noticed on the Asda website that there was a baby event, the Graco Junior Maxi was advertised as £14.99. So off we went to Asda to find out that they were £20 instore, we picked one up because it would have cost £4.95 delivery online. I bought the Graco Junior Maxi Car Seat for my daughter when she had just passed her fourth birthday because she had grown out of her toddler car seat. This car seat is suitable for children who weigh between 15 - 36kg - and so that's children who are about 4 until the grow out of car seats altogether - and so we were hoping that this would be the last time we would have to buy this for her. She is now 7 years old and she still comfortably fits in and and it is still in one piece. It cost £34.99 from ToysRUs - and as it has lasted for the last 3 years and is still going strong then I think ... more

When we were looking for a car seat for our son, he was 4 at the time, and we wanted something that would support his head as he had a tendency to fall asleep on long journeys and his head would loll. This came recommended as the best of a decent bunch of car seats, and although I can't remember exactly how much it cost, I remember it was very reasonable at the time. The car seat basically comes in two units. The first is the seat, which acts as a booster seat, with two low arm rests on it. This seat unit has two retractable holders, one on either side, which are a good size for holding pretty ... more

Our daughter is 3 years old but she is tall so when we noticed her head was coming above her car seat we knew she would have to go up a level. I went into halfords and had a look at what was available, we had a problem that the seats in the rear of my car slope back quite alot so we needed one that had an adjustable back. In Halfords I found the Graco Junior and a Britax one which would both be suitable. Never one to pay full price if I don't have to I went home and had a look on the internet to find the best price. At Halfords the seat had been selling for £59.99, then I found it for £40 at ... more

I recently noticed that my youngest son was starting to outgrow his current car seat so I had a look online and decided to buy the Graco Junior Maxi Car Seat. It's for group 2-3 and suitable for children from 4 years-12 years (weighing 15kg-36kg). It's a forward facing car seat and uses a 3 point seat belt. It has an adjustable head support, 2 cup holders and seat belt guides on both sides of the head support. The covers can be washed and the car seat can also be used as just a booster seat (without the back and neck support). The car seat conforms to ECE: R44.04 European safety standards.I ... more

I bought this for my almost 4yr old as she was getting far too big for her other car seat that she'd been in since she was 10months old... And i was fed up of lugging it in and out of the 2 cars. I wanted a car seat that was light, easy to fit and would also act as a booster seat in a couple of years time. I had a look into the safety reviews, which i found satisfactory and also looked at other purchasers reviews. Once received, the seat was quick and easy to put together and easy to install in the car. It's so nice to have a child seat that isn't bulky, heavy or difficult to strap in like the ... more
