My Graco Mirage Travel System has been in use for two years now so how has it coped as my first baby has become a toddler and my second baby has arrived?
This system has done very well over the last two years, it’s a little battered from being thrown into the boot, had chocolate ground into various fabrics and mechanisms and has been drawn on with chalk but it’s still going strong. The biggest regret I have with buying this exact system ... ...daughter I borrowed my friends Graco car seat and Autobase, the car seat still fits onto the pushchair even though it’s a newer model – I love Graco sometimes!
The pushchair still folds down properly, although the catch which you have to hold while you collapse it is still fiddly but I can grab it out the boot and throw it open with one hand which is great when I’m being harassed by two children. The only thing that hasn’t lasted is the shopping ...

The Graco Mirage isn't making any kind of a fashion statement and is unlikely to make it into the style magazines or score you many points among the yummy mummies, but it's a perfectly serviceable and reasonably priced item. When expecting my son, born earlier this month, my husband and I saw the Graco Mirage Travel System at a local store. We were impressed by the design, the idea of a travel system instead of a pram, and also the price in comparison to others ... ...at various stores.
As Graco is a well-known make, we discovered it at most well-known stores, including Mothercare, Toys 'R' Us, Argos, Index, and many more, and also both new and second hand on Ebay.
Prices varied, but at the time I was looking, they varied from £100 - £140, with the exception of www.nurseryandtoys.com (see my other reviews) who offered it for £80!

I bought my Graco Mirage Travel System from local Mothercare for around £119.00 which seemed like a good value compared to many other travel systems. It's got everything you might need while out and about. Shopping basket is a very good size and is good enough to store all the baby stuff you need when you go out. All in all, this travel system seems to have everything other systems have and Mothercare will even deliver it if you ask in-store. Now ... ...a bit they start to creak. My husband and I bought some oil to put on them but unfortunately to no effect. Nothing seems to work. The car seat is a bit hard to put in and take out. It's also a bit heavy. The hood on the car seat doesn't easily go down and when you're holding your baby with one hand, it's not easy to manage at all. Then when your baby is out of the car seat and into the pushchair, the plastic bar isn't something I call entirely safe. ...

i resently brought a graco travel system buggy which comes with a car seat, from littlewoods cataloge,it did cost me £249.00 which is a hell of alot of money for a buggy but i needed something that i could handle well and take on trips when i visit my family in london,so it was a must for me,and buying from a cataloge and not a high street store let me spread the cost and at the prices buggys are these days it was the only way i was going to get ... ...0 up 3 years,

car seat also has a rocking feature with handle that locks into 3 positions i used to sit my baby in it to feed him carseat also has safety level feature to ensure carseat locked properly into carseat base and pushchair pushchair two height positions (lays totally flat good for newborns or when baby is sleeping)
second position is upright accessories ... ...mat large shopping basket there is also a bar for the car seat to clip on to for easy transportation from car to pushchair age range newborn - 3years
i bought this travel system for when i was due to have my baby who is now 15 months mine was black with royal blue trim i believe you can have different colours

The Graco mirage travel system cost me £152 including the optional extra of rain cover, and being in the north east of Scotland it was a must!. That was two years ago but i don't think the price has changed. I can tell you that it is one of the best investments i've made. My daughter left hospital in her car seat (bearly 9 hours old) and has hardly gone a day without being in it.
You get the car seat which fixes securly to the buggy, is easy to ... ...umbrella type buggies. What was I to do? But it was Graco to the rescue, an after I e-mailed them, I am now awatitng a replacement wheel and FREE fittings. Cheers Graco. I brought this travel system this summer and got it for £99. Thought it was a bargain and grabbed it. One of my main reasons for buying this was that it was incredibly light as compared to most of the others I have seen. I don't have a car and so am always walking or on local transport. Taking the travel system through local transport was great as it just glides in.
I try my best to walk everywhere I can to save money. Below I have roughly drafted ... ...and I have used multimap as a reference.

...little boy we bought a graco travel system rather than a pram. It has been absolutely fantastic for a number of reasons.
We went on holiday to Italy when he was 3 months old and becuase it is a two part pram - ie car seat and buggy we did not get charged for taking a car seat with us.
Having the base that stays in the car is so easy then especially if you are in and out of the car regularly - you just unclip and lift the car seat bit out and use ... ...car seat/buggy/pram it means it can used until they are past 1 years old. I have not had to go and buy another buggy becuase it can be adapted as he has got older.
Excellent value for money when you consider how much it would cost if you bought all the elements seperately and it fitted in the boot of my little run around no bother. My parents love it as well as it is really easy to manoeuver. ...

...Opted to move to a Graco travel system which was suitable to use from birth. Package included a car seat and pushchair with adjustable back rest (flat and upright) and net shopping basket underneath.
Pushchair very lightweight and easy folding system meant it fitted easily in boot and springs to full size in minutes.
Used for several months now and whats not so good I found that if you carry baby just in car seat on its own its very heavy.
Also ... ...for all our British weathers. Wheels not sturdy so not suitable for those who need to cover the miles and mine now squeak s quite a bit. A travel system can be bulky so need to be aware of how it will fit in your hall, home and size of boot.
As we were on a budget and needed something for just quick trips into town this worked for us as bought at our local Nursery Shop in Town for £108.00. In hindsight would recommend you consider what use pushchair ...

We bought our Mirage Travel System in September '03 and really got a fantastic bargain! The whole package cost us £179.99 from Mother care and had everything included, Basket, Car Seat, Auto-Base (for car seat), rain cover, basket, cosytoes, head hugger, tray and even a matching bag!! To buy these items alone in shops would cost around £20-£30 per item. A tad bit expensive when you've got a new arrival!
The pushchair is very sturdy and cozy looking. ... ...a mum needs for all those exciting shopping trips with your little one. A five point harness to keep your little one strapped in securely and a clip on tray, very useful for suction toys or drinks and snacks. The whole pushchair collapses in about 2 seconds, simply pull up the two handles located on either side of the pushchair and it folds flat. i bought my graco buggie about 8 months ago for my second baby,i had a graco buggie with my first baby and loved it so much.I think i will always buy graco because they are such brilliant quality.
I have the graco mirage travel system and i paid about £260.00 for it from babies r us.The car seat acts as the pram for when the baby is young up until the age of 9 months and then they can sit in the actuall buggie which has a five point harness so that ... ...you want from newborn aswell but i found that the straps didn't go tight enough for a newborn baby and prefered to use the car seat instead.The car seat forming as the pram is a brilliant idea as when you've had a sleepless night and your baby has just gone to sleep in the car you don't have to wake them when getting them out of the car into the buggie.
It came with the autobase for the car seat to plug into in the car so no need to struggle stapping ...

...range, then I saw the Graco mosaic in Mothercare at £160. But first I did look at reviews on the internet which werent too pomising. So back to the drawing board.
Having decided that Graco were generally cheaper, and a known brand I looked at the different models available, and decided on the mirage, as it was the lightest and smallest available. I bought it from Babies 'r' us, the pushchair was £79.99 and so was the car seat, but if you bought ... ...Bargain!
The only gripes I have about it at the moment are that the car seat doesnt seem to click off the pushchair very easy, the lever is quite stiff. I have also found that the car seat handle doesnt adjust very easy, it seems to get stuck on the hood, and the car seat is also dificult to get the seat belt round in the car, so I think im going to buy the base.
All in all I feel if it lasts then very good value for money. ...

I bought a Graco Mirage Travel System - comprising of buggy, car seat (for 0-9 months), car seat base, rucksack, raincover and cosy toes for my son about a year ago. The whole package cost £170 from Mothercare (via home delivery).
The buggy is pretty straightforward - it has three seat positions from recline (for young baby) through to upright. There is a baby shelf at the front which the car seat clips onto. There is a hood which was ok but the ... ...a time I flapped around in the rain to try and clip it on.
The other downside with the buggy is the fact that the cosy toes (foot muffle) velcros on - so slides down swiftly when a squirming baby gets in. In the end I bought another one which tied on and was a lot more secure. On the plus side it is light and pretty easy to get down with a bit of practice. There is a clip to hold the buggy in closed position when you put it in the car.
