    1 Star twin mirage 14/10/2000

Advantages Advantages good price, added extras

    Disadvantages Disadvantages poor quality

I bought a twin mirage as i was having twins and this was one of a few on the market for twins, when i bought it i thought id made a good choice as it was reasonably priced and it had aprons, raincover and shopping trolly, The first thing to go on my twin mirage was the snap fasteners on the aprons, then after a while the raincover fell to bits and i had to buy a new one, it was very difficult to get around as it was too wide for most shops and was difficult to control. When my twins were reaching thier first birthday the brake axel started to become wobbly and within a few months was totally ... more

Advantages Advantages very light, great for travelling

Disadvantages Disadvantages got confused with fastening, had to read manual a few times.

I brought this travel system this summer and got it for £99. Thought it was a bargain and grabbed it. One of my main reasons for buying this was that it was incredibly light as compared to most of the others I have seen. I don't have a car and so am always walking or on local transport. Taking the travel system through local transport was great as it just glides in. I try my best to walk everywhere I can to save money. Below I have roughly drafted an estimate I walk each week. It is an estimate and I have used multimap as a reference. EVERY WEEK- I go to town 2 times a week (sometimes 3 but ... more

Advantages Advantages Had the car seat style

Disadvantages Disadvantages A few - all listed

When I was expecting my daughter, part of me wanted a traditional pram, but the reality was that a travel system was going to be a more practical option, and as I was a 1st time mum back in 2002, it was off to Mothercare, and that was where I found this travel system, although it was under the Mothercare brand. What I was impressed with the ease that the car seat section of the travel system just slotted into the base of the pushchair, and transferring from pushchair to car, and back again was a smooth movement. The handle was sturdy on the car seat section; there was also a head hugger ... more

Advantages Advantages Ideal for quick trips

Disadvantages Disadvantages Won't cover the miles

Found the traditional pram too big especially with all the extras need to take for Baby. Opted to move to a Graco travel system which was suitable to use from birth. Package included a car seat and pushchair with adjustable back rest (flat and upright) and net shopping basket underneath. Pushchair very lightweight and easy folding system meant it fitted easily in boot and springs to full size in minutes. Used for several months now and whats not so good I found that if you carry baby just in car seat on its own its very heavy. Also Material used on pushchair is quite flimsy and not suitable ... more

5 Stars My Graco Mirage Travel System Review with images 20/10/2004

    Advantages Advantages Value For Money

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Car Seat Wobbles

We bought our Mirage Travel System in September '03 and really got a fantastic bargain! The whole package cost us £179.99 from Mother care and had everything included, Basket, Car Seat, Auto-Base (for car seat), rain cover, basket, cosytoes, head hugger, tray and even a matching bag!! To buy these items alone in shops would cost around £20-£30 per item. A tad bit expensive when you've got a new arrival! The pushchair is very sturdy and cozy looking. Has a very large shopping basket underneath, just what a mum needs for all those exciting shopping trips with your little one. A five point ... more

Advantages Advantages Excellent Car Seat, Great value

Disadvantages Disadvantages Pushchair a bit stiff, instructions (You need a degree in pushchairs to understand them!)

I bought this travel system for my new born son Xavi 15 months ago. The travel system consisted of the pushchair, car seat and raincover. It was great value bought from Argos for £109 in the sale. The car seat was fantastic ideal for any new born, in fact my Xavi loved it so much he would only go to sleep if we rocked him in the car seat and then put him in his cot when he was a sleep! The car seat fits easily and very safely to the pushchair and is easily clipped off again. The instructions are not the best but we worked out eventually how to put the car seat in the car. Its very safe and ... more

Advantages Advantages this buggie has a car seat

Disadvantages Disadvantages i find that the material starts to fade

i bought my graco buggie about 8 months ago for my second baby,i had a graco buggie with my first baby and loved it so much.I think i will always buy graco because they are such brilliant quality. I have the graco mirage travel system and i paid about £260.00 for it from babies r us.The car seat acts as the pram for when the baby is young up until the age of 9 months and then they can sit in the actuall buggie which has a five point harness so that they cant escape, you can also use the buggie if you want from newborn aswell but i found that the straps didn't go tight enough for a newborn baby ... more

    Advantages Advantages lightweight, reasonably priced

Disadvantages Disadvantages car seat is a bit difficult

I am expecting my first child next month, and have bought this travel system, but not had chance to use it properly yet. When I first started looking for a buggy, I wanted a travel system with an optional carrycot feature, but found these to be too expensive. In fact most buggies were well out of my price range, then I saw the Graco mosaic in Mothercare at £160. But first I did look at reviews on the internet which werent too pomising. So back to the drawing board. Having decided that Graco were generally cheaper, and a known brand I looked at the different models available, and decided on the ... more

Advantages Advantages Good value, great car seat, quite light

Disadvantages Disadvantages Cozy toes difficult to keep on, bit too lightweight

I bought a Graco Mirage Travel System - comprising of buggy, car seat (for 0-9 months), car seat base, rucksack, raincover and cosy toes for my son about a year ago. The whole package cost £170 from Mothercare (via home delivery). The buggy is pretty straightforward - it has three seat positions from recline (for young baby) through to upright. There is a baby shelf at the front which the car seat clips onto. There is a hood which was ok but the raincover is an absolute nightmare to get on - many a time I flapped around in the rain to try and clip it on. The other downside with the buggy is ... more

4 Stars Quick review of Graco Mirage Travel System by Eclipse37 17/02/2008
I went for this product as it is the lightest in their range. This is important to me as I had back surgery recently. Very easy to put together and the whole thing collapses easily. The car seat took a bit of figuring out but it in fact clicks onto the plastic tray at the front of the pushchair part. Great value and for this price £120 if it goes wrong, I will buy another one and still have change fron the ponsy one's I see everyday.
