Good 'bang-for-the-buck' from Grado headphones.

Advantages: Good sound, long lead, mini-jack and 1/4 inch jack provided.
Disadvantages: Some may find the 'on ear' fit difficult at first.

In the interests of disclosure, I used to sell these products! These are great headphones with Grado's unique vintage styling. These are the second headphone up the range and a clearly noticable improvement from the entry level (they use better wiring & technically superior, closer matched drivers). The jump up to the next headphone in the series (SR125) does not give anywhere near the same return for your money as the jump from SR60 to SR80. So ...

They have a long lead as standard and come with mini-jack plug (for portable kit) and an adaptor to fit standard 1/4 inch jacks on Hi-Fi kit. So what do they do well? Good bass extension, good detail in the mid range and nicely extended treble (without being 'sharp' or 'harsh' like so many of the competition). Just an allround quality ...

Grado SR80 Headphones

Advantages: Quality of sound and vintage styling
Disadvantages: maybe the size also hurt my ears until bedded in

Bought for me as a gift from my Father! An american headphone with a vintage style, I have the sr80 models and I am very impressed with the quality. I use these headphones mainly with my ipod, they are very good at cancelling out all background noise and excellent at keeping my ears warm on a cold winter morning! As for sound they are excellent, far better than the sennheiser`s that i had before. They don`t need to be turned up to full like most ...
...The depth of the bass and the clarity of the vocals is amazing. One of the best thought out features is extremely long cable allowing you to dance freely at the bustop!! it has a small headphone socket as well as the larger jack plug. If your in the market for a nice set of headphones and not worried about the size then treat yourself!! One thing I did notice is that they hurt my ears for a while until they moulded to my head. I may just have a ...

Quick review of Grado SR80

Good sound (while it lasted). Wiring to jack plug failed slowly but surely. No after sales service from Grado labs. I will go for German reliability and customer service next time. My advice - spend your £80 elsewhere! ...
