    From the offset Having bought a PS3 quite late on after its initial release I was thinking of ‘must have’ games to own and GT5: Prologue has to be one of them when it comes to driving simulators. I tried searching for more recent driving simulatiors although it appeared to me that others lacked that ‘va va voom’ and quickly got the impression that there was nothing but GT5: Prologue, as this was and has been the benchmark for driving simulators.     Gran turismo is a great taste of the full upcoming game in 2009. The game should not be thought of as a demo but as a full game. The game has 80 cars 16 tracks and full 16 player multiplayer in full 1080p HD. The Gran turismo series has always been known to provide pure realistic driving equal to the real thing.     This is the new standard of racing, with its amazing standard of graphics creating a resolution of 1080p/i.There are over 70 cars to choose from. The only problem is, is that the game is lacking in racing tracks there are only six but they are so gripping you can not get bored of them. If you want to play this game with a friend in your own home don't be put of by the box only saying it's a one player game there is a 2p battle option.     Before i start please bare in mind this is a just glorified demo of not a full game, so dont expect the world! I picked up a copy of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue on release day after being a loyal fan of the series and blown away by the level of detail gone into the game. With 4 different classes to try and pass there is plenty to keep you occupied with. Im a fan of racing games and generaly race in the view inside the car and the detail of normal is minimal but GT5 prollouge take it to the next level.     I pre-oredered my copy of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue a few weeks back and got it in the post about 5 days before writing this review. So I have had about 5 days of experience with this game. First off, the game, like some other PlayStation 3 games, requires an install process, at about 10 minutes long it is kinda annoying, but the one thing you'll notice is that the game is pretty snappy between loading screens, so I guess it's an advantage.     Gran Turismo has always been the Playstation's benchmark series, it's yard stick - the one others have to live up to. Gran Turismo 5: Prologue continues this magnificent tradition, pushing boundries in all areas, and creating a superbly enjoyable, and stunningly beautiful, game. First of all, the graphics.     After the stunning debut of Gran Turismo and the follow up success of the series with both instalment 2 and 3 on the ps1 and ps2 respectively, it is no wonder that a ps3 game has been heavily anticipated.     Couldn't wait any longer? Dished out the extra bucks for an imported copy of prologue from our Japanese friends? Prepare to kick yourself. Hard. Because the euro edition of the long awaited racer teaser gets some extra loving'. We derserve iT. Thats right - The European GTS Prolouge has a helmet full of additional goodies.     Disadvantages Disadvantages For all its glory, its basically a big demo.

    As far as a simulation racer goes, its not going to get any better than this title. Gran Turismo always manages to define new boundaries with each release. The varied amount of cars on this game is brilliant, your not longer stuck driving super cars and having to do 200mph all over the track (as much as we all love that from time to time) in GT5 your able to drive a ford focus RS, golfs, Mazda, Lotus and various other low/mid range cars which give a feel of a proper racing title.     GRAN TURISMO 5 PROLOGUE (ps3) is one of the best games that came out this year. You can choose from different car makes you want and you can compete in different tournament, including online and in two player mode. One of the most interesting thing is that you can compete in your own city which includes London, etc. You can play the game it in standard definition (SD) and high definition (HD). (the more you play the more you learn)
