Advantages: Great Visuals, Gameplay and Features Disadvantages: No Damage, Online Player Tend To Cheat
Gran turismo is a great taste of the full upcoming game in 2009. The game should not be thought of as a demo but as a full game. The game has 80 cars 16 tracks and full 16 player multiplayer in full 1080p HD. The Gran turismo series has always been known to provide pure realistic driving equal to the real thing.
What Features Are In the Game?
The game has lots of features for example; 80 real licenced cars from over 30 manufacturers includin newcomer ... ...with the gran turismo community. Also provided is a kind of channel which shows car related programming this feature is called GTTV, however no programming has be put up, we won't expect any until the game has been released in the US. We have though been promised Top Gear to be viewable on GTTV. Steering wheels can be used on the game, even specific ps2 wheels are compatible with the game. Logitech have however made a first ever full 900 degrees ...

...disappointment.
With this game Gran Turismo have made the cars as realistic as possible. Not only have they given extreme exterior detail, they have made the interior of the cars exactly as they are in real life. So if you have a Ford Focus ST or Mini Cooper s you will feel right at home. Most people complain that engine sounds in car games are not realistic but in this game they have tested each car and added the correct engine sound to it. Also ... ...also a new feature called Gran Turismo TV where you can find out what is happening in motor racing all around the world or if you don't want to know that you can watch Top Gear and work out the best car for you to buy.
To be honest although its a good price it is only really a demo you may aswell wait for the full game to come out. ...

...picked up a copy of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue on release day after being a loyal fan of the series and blown away by the level of detail gone into the game. With 4 different classes to try and pass there is plenty to keep you occupied with. Im a fan of racing games and generaly race in the view inside the car and the detail of normal is minimal but GT5 prollouge take it to the next level. You can clearly see the time and effort put into making the ... ...A new feature added is Gran Turismo TV. When I first saw this feature i was very excited but for me it just turned out to be an un needed extra which i barely use. Crash damage is not included in the game which is a big disapointment for me. I would like to see my driving skills rewarded with and nice clean car and my moments of madness punished with damage to the car. With luck, hopefully the game will be updated this year and include crash damage ...

Advantages: Excellent photo-realistic 1080p 60fps graphics, lots of good racing fun, great physics, decent price Disadvantages: Limited car and track selection, online play still needs work, car damage still not included
I pre-oredered my copy of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue a few weeks back and got it in the post about 5 days before writing this review. So I have had about 5 days of experience with this game.
First off, the game, like some other PlayStation 3 games, requires an install process, at about 10 minutes long it is kinda annoying, but the one thing you'll notice is that the game is pretty snappy between loading screens, so I guess it's an advantage.
Once ... ...all Prologue users.
Overall, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is a great taste of what's to come, races run smoothly in 1080p, and the UI is slick and easy to use, it lacks in the depth of Gran Turismo 4, but this is reflected in the reduced price. It is available for £17.99 from Play.com, and this really is a bargain for the fun you will get out of it. ...

Gran Turismo has always been the Playstation's benchmark series, it's yard stick - the one others have to live up to. Gran Turismo 5: Prologue continues this magnificent tradition, pushing boundries in all areas, and creating a superbly enjoyable, and stunningly beautiful, game. First of all, the graphics. Anyone who sees the game is blown away. The cars look near identical to their real life counterparts, and the tracks are also beautifully, and ... ...seen a game to match Gran Turismo 5 graphically.
The cars don't just look great; they sound incredible. Engine notes are ridiculously realistic, and when added to the gloriously detailed cars, you would expect to be watching a video clip instead of a game. The sound of the cars is spot on, although the soundtrack is a little lacking in depth. With just a handful of in-race songs, and even less variety in the menus, the music, while good, can get ...

Couldn't wait any longer? Dished out the extra bucks for an imported copy of prologue from our Japanese friends? Prepare to kick yourself. Hard. Because the euro edition of the long awaited racer teaser gets some extra loving'. We derserve iT.
Thats right - The European GTS Prolouge has a helmet full of additional goodies. And we're not talking a couple of extra cars and a few new music tracks. I'ts rammed to the rafters with extras.
We're talking ... ...1 Ferrari F2007.
Get in! Two player split screens mode has returned, an option painfully absent from a wealth of great online PS3 titles.
Throw in a new driving lane feature that show newbie drivers the ideal racing line and you're well on your way to been The Stig.
Purist out there, just ignore this. Want to push each car to its top speed? Now you can with high speed Ring Track thats been reinstated just for us.

...any better than this title. Gran Turismo always manages to define new boundaries with each release. The varied amount of cars on this game is brilliant, your not longer stuck driving super cars and having to do 200mph all over the track (as much as we all love that from time to time) in GT5 your able to drive a ford focus RS, golfs, Mazda, Lotus and various other low/mid range cars which give a feel of a proper racing title. GRAN TURISMO 5 PROLOGUE (ps3) is one of the best games that came out this year. You can choose from different car makes you want and you can compete in different tournament, including online and in two player mode. One of the most interesting thing is that you can compete in your own city which includes London, etc. You can play the game it in standard definition (SD) and high definition (HD).

...big improvement on the last Gran Turismo, and the quality and handling of the cars beats any other game I have played. Even though it is only half the game, the Class A, B, C and S races are challenging and good fun, and the graphics are absolutely amazing. A truly fantastic game. If you love racing than this the one for with a great upto 16 player online trash which will keep you entertained for hours. The one thing i found though is if you are a Gran Turismo freak like myself then you may find this game a little easy to complete and end up going round the same travk over and over again trying to save up for the F1 car which i can say is mint well worth the 2000000 credits. I just cant wait for the full game to be relesed now. ...

I have been playing on this game for about a week now and think it is an amazing game. Firstly it has awesome graphics and I especially like being able to drive in a 'cockpit-view' so you see your Driver turning the steering wheel and changing gear. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is the first Gran Turismo to come to Playstation 3. One thing to bare in mind with this game is that its not really a full retail game.
