One of the greatest games PS2 games out there!!!

Advantages: Open gameplay/Original missions/Side missions/Fun is the emphasis of the gameplay here
Disadvantages: To complete fully is very difficult indeed.

Introduction: Grand Theft Auto 3 (GTA3) was released in October 2001originally in North America and Europe. This was genuinely a game which people bought a PlayStation 2 just to experience. It really is that impressive and still to this day is an absolute must have if you enjoy computer games. The review will take account of the PAL version of this game. Why is this game still great? It has stood the test of time as all classic games do. Others ...
...For instance Driver 3 failed big time (annoying gameplay and glitches) as did The Getaway (flawed, felt rushed) and True Crime: Streets of LA (not nearly as fun as GTA). Storyline: ***Spoilers*** The game takes place in Liberty City and we play with a character who we do not know the name of. You are betrayed at the beginning of the title by your girlfiend Catalina and are nearly killed. Then you go to jail. When on the way going on a routine ...

"Get out the way! Woops..."

Advantages: Almost infinite freedom in the aptly name Liberty city
Disadvantages: Rated 18 and may be offensive to "sensitive" players

...willing to do it? Grand Theft Auto 3 was the first title in the GTA series to go 3 dimensional, and after viewing Liberty city in all its 3D splendour you will never even think of previous games! From the dodgy thugs on the street to shady dealers to the magnificent towering skyscrapers and stylish selection of hi-jackable cars, everything in GTA3 looks nothing short of fantastic. However, while the console version kick serious butt, the new PC ...
...listening to classic fm. Additionally, Grand Theft Auto 3 would not have the right to bear the name GTA if it didn't have a vast selection of weaponry to use, and there is tonnes of ammo for it too. Uzi's, shotguns, machine guns, chainsaws, knives, car bombs, baseball bats, and of course vehicles (perhaps stolen ones, or a tank, even better) can be used to cause infinite mayhem on the streets. A worthy title to buy on any console, though you do ...

.The God Father Of Crime Simulation

Advantages: The God Father Of Crime Simulation, also a very good fun car simulator
Disadvantages: very addictive

...of any of the previous Grand theft auto games or even if you just like car games then your going to love this game. Grand Theft Auto 3 is a 3D version of all the other Grand Theft Autos and is also in my opinion the best one they have made so far. I first got the game on pc but my graphics card wasn’t good enough so the game lagged, but with a few changes to the settings the game ran a little faster, then I bought it on Play station 2 and sold my ...
...are easily shot down. Grand Theft Auto is rated 18 so you have to be 18 to buy it, which I don’t understand, the game isn’t that bad, there is a cheat you can type in to turn on gore mode which is quite cool, so instead of them just dropping down dead when you shoot them, one of their limbs will fly off and they’ll hop around for a few seconds then die and lots of blood squirts every where, the same happens if you shoot their head off. The first ...

Welcome To Liberty City My Friends

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Way Too Addictive!

You wouldn't think that this game has an impact on females, boy; I wish I hadn't set eyes on this game! I first got to know about this game via my friend who lives across the road, Steven. Steven and me have been friends forever and I'm always walking in and out of his house and we hang out together and one night I couldn't sleep for some reason and I decided to sleep over at Steven's and as soon as he went to bed I was straight on the PS2 playing ...
...stay over there that night!). Since then I have been very hooked and my Dad recently brought a PS2 and since then poor Steven hasn't had the chance to have his game back! THE GAME: The game itself is based on a non-fictional town in America called Liberty City and is made up of three cities: Portland, Staunton Island and Shoreside Vale. The character you play is a rough looking Phil Mitchell. Basically, the aim of the game is to go around and look ...

Violence and Bloodshed

Advantages: Loads of missions, Load of violence
Disadvantages: Some missions are too easy

Grand Theft Auto 3 is apparently the best game around at the moment for the Playstation 2 and definitely the most popular. I’ve only had my PS2 for around a month and have only played a handful of games so I couldn’t tell you whether it was the best but it IS an excellent game. The game is set in the fictional city of Liberty. The city is divided into 3 islands and at the beginning you only have access to one of the islands. As you get ...
...islands. The gist of the game is this: You are a wannabe gangster who is available to do jobs/missions for different gangs around the city. The more you do, the more respect you gain and the more people want you to “work” for them. You get paid for missions once they are complete and use this money later to buy weapons. The missions range from simple ones such as making deliveries to more difficult ones such as hijacking vans and wiping ...

Advantages: Fun, Sprawling, Addictive, repeat to fade...
Disadvantages: Playing other games afterwards feels kind of hollow

...If you have played Grand Theft Auto 1 or 2, then this is more of the same but in 3D and several times larger and better - so you dont need to keep reading, just go and get it and cancel anything in your diary for the next few months. For the crim-sim virgin, read on... You start with just one contact - '8 ball' the man you escape prison with. He will lead you to further contacts and your reputation as it grows leads you to other contacts, and more ...

That is, if you want to. You could just steal a taxi and pick up fares. Or steal a car and sell it. Or if the mood takes you, hot wire that fire engine you saw and become a firefighter for a while. In fact, it is this ingenius system that kept ...

...her and ended up playing Grand Theft Auto 3 on her Playstation 2 until 2am when she insisted I left so she could go to bed. Yes, Its that addictive. In previous version of the game you had a 2D overview of a city where you drove round the city scoring points for running down civilians and evading the police. Now there is much more depth to the game. You now play the game in 3D and can carjack any vehicle from a taxi to a police car and then run ...

You are introduced to various mob characters who give you jobs. As you complete more jobs for one mob boss, they introduce you to an other wise guy who gives you more missions. As you do more missions and gain there trust they give more important missions. Eventually you ...

Welcome to Liberty City

Advantages: Every penny you spend on this game will truly be worth it
Disadvantages: you will drive to get as much out of it as you can, which can be frustrating

As soon as you see the first stunning video clip, you know exactly where you stand: You're a small time crook doing odd-jobs for various powerful figures with money to burn and a past to hide. You have to climb up the ladder of respect to evolve from petty hitman to a powerful warlord. The game has obvious influences from gangster themed movies (E.g The Godfather, Goodfellas, Pulp Fiction), and the best thing about it is that it truly is a one of ...

The game is based in Liberty City, which is split into three parts (Portland, Stauntan Island and Shoreside vale- each becomes available, in that respective order, after a certain amount of missions have been done) When I say missions, I mean your jobs. You get paid for doing them, naturally, but I don't feel the money offers ...

GTA 3: defined a generation

Advantages: Classic
Disadvantages: Most of us have already played it

This was the first generation GTA game which defined a generation of gamers. No other game like this had ever being created with the kind of graphics which this was showing off. It truly was amazing at its time. No one who owned a PS2 didnt have this game. It was the talk of the summer with every gamer and it also sparked up many different politicains views on the content which was displayed. But the less spoke of them the better. Two years later ...
...storyline was compelling for it time. After a life time of small time jobs the character you play who is nameless commits a large bank job with his girlfriend and head of the Columbia Carte; Maria and a leech who always hangs with Maria. However the columbian leader has different ideas as to the main character. He thinks that he has made the biggest job of his life and will be made however his girlfirend puts a bullet in his head for his troubles. ...

...and downright violence! In Grand Theft Auto III you'll face the hardest missions against the hardest gangs, and in my opinion this is the greatest RPG/crime game in gaming history. Here's why:- In all you will experience 7 different gangs, in this thrilling game of treachery, each with different weapons, beliefs and styles. These include the ever infamous Mafia, Triads and Yardies and other groups of different nationalities. Along the storyline ...

The missions vary from assisting major bank robberys to taking prostitutes to the boss, making each and every mission as exciting as ever. When being instructed by your employers you will experience great RGM's and movies, with a bit of added humour! For extra cash you can complete mini-missions. For example, you can steal a police car and act as a vigilante and eliminate ...

Hey Toni. I gotta job for ya.

Advantages: Cool gaming
Disadvantages: not out for PC until March

If you have played either of its 2 predecessors and liked them, you will love this. This has to be the best driving game around. I have only played it for about 2 hours on my mates PS2 but it has inspired me to go out at lunchtime and part with £30 to get it for my PC. ****STOP PRESS**** Its not out for the PC until MARCH! Boohoo! Put those pennies away for the moment. So the more reading you all do, the cheaper it will become! ;o) Maybe we can copy ...

Now, it have become more like the Driver series. You play the part of a hood travelling the steets in the hope to pick up a buck or two for some seedy business. The idea is to cause as much destruction as possible without being arrested, or worse, killed! You are set missions or jobs by your various ...

Welcome to Liverty City...Where Dreams are Broken

Advantages: read the op

AHHHH, another controversial and violent games. You know the sort. The ones that makes everyone that players it, no matter how long for, get an uncontrollable urge to kill everyone and anything in sight? The type that makes innocent young children go out on a rampage of killing and raping. The type of game that makes the teenagers just nip down to the local munitions store to buy a shotgun and some ammo for the reasonable price of £3000 and then ...

Parents everywhere will unite to stop the evil, take it form the shops, and homes of people that won it, and burn it in a medieval-style good ol' burning sessions. Well, this is that type of game. And OH MY GOD is it fun. Welcome to GTA3, violence, crime and hole heap of fun. ---Background--- This is the third instalment of the series, of wait its ...

...was a little something called Grand theft auto 3. I had heard of this game, and I had heard a lot of good things about it. So when I finally go t the chance to play on it- I was very excited with high expectations- well after playing on it for a straight week, I must say… WOW! The idea behind the game. You will get a change of clothes and will be instructed to escort 8-Ball to Luigi’s club. Now you can do what you really wanted to do- rampage through liberty city. Working with Luigi will get you new bosses, more money and a higher reputation. Luigi doesn’t give you very hard missions, but ...

...to the wicked series of grand theft auto games. The main thing that impressed every one about the game was the openness of the game play. You are given missions, but you could just as easily lose an entire afternoon driving around the city, running over random people, escaping from the police, and just generally causing havoc. It was perhaps the most offensive game released up until then, and appeared on many TV shows for the outrageous gameplay. ...

This game is not for young kids as it has been certified 18. And should be kept that way as many young kids seem to have a rather small gap between reality and computer games. The content involves swearing, stealing, running over, shooting, killing, etc, etc. ...
