Mr. Niko Belic and me

Advantages: Superb graphics, mass multiplayer modes, pure freedom, and excellent music/sound
Disadvantages: Weak storyline, sometimes too realistic, and nothing to do when game is completed

Ah yes, the next Grand Theft Auto in the popular franchise. The first game I played with my new Playstation 3 back in July 2008. It was a tough choice to put in Grand Theft Auto 4 or Metal Gear Solid 4, but it just had to be GTA 4 for sure. My console did come with Haze, but that doesn't even compare to this bonified work of art! Thanks to the usual addictiveness of a new Grand Theft Auto game, I didn't even touch my other new PS3 games for weeks ...
...sandbox type of game like Grand Theft Auto is. Along with that, was a unique game manual wrote in a form of tourist guide. Thought that was rather amusing at the time and a little different. == Plotline == Niko Belic, a Serbian immigrant and ex soldier from the Bosnian war seeks a life in the land of opportunity of America and in Liberty City (New York). Hoping to forget his troubled background and former criminal past, looking to find a job with ...

Awesome Game!! but no as much as San Andreas

Advantages: Visuals, Gameplay, Multiplayer
Disadvantages: Lack of customisation, Repetative Missions

Grand Theft Auto 4 is the first GTA game to come to the next gen consoles, however some of the features found on the previous versions at lacking in this game and is named by me as "GTA 3 with better visuals" Plot: Niko Bellic (The character you play) is a Serbian immigrant who was previously a veteren of the Bosnion War. Since then he has joined the life of crime. He moves to the city of oppertunity Liberty City and moves in with his cousin Ramon. ...

It is then later revealed in the game that you are in search of the person he blames for betraying his old army unit, Florian Cravic. So during his stay in Liberty City Niko constantly does favors and work for some of Ramons associates and bosses hoping that sooner or later someone might have some information and Florians ...

Exceptional Gamplay

Advantages: It has everything
Disadvantages: Some may find content objectionable

"GTA IV" is Rockstar's latest release in the controversial bestselling series of games. In this episode you are Niko Bellic, a Yugoslavian national who has travelled to America from Serbia. He is leaving the wars behind and has moved to follow the American Dream following an invite from his cousin. As with most games in this series the early missions are more of a tutorial than a challenge. However, this works well in giving you a feel for the game ...
...main thing I took from the early missions is that this is the first game to actually utilise a lot of the PS3's capacity. Other titles just seem like PS2 games with slight upgrades. Once you start the game you can genuinely do almost whatever you want. This is as non-linear a game as you could ever want. You can strictly follow the story missions or can just go bowling, drinking, socialising etc with your early contacts. There is no time pressure ...

GTA IV (PS3)

Advantages: great graphics, story line, very funny, some mean cars
Disadvantages: none

GRAND THEFT AUTO IV Niko Bellic might just be the best videogame character ever. Not because he's the toughest, or even the coolest, but because he's a truly human hero. Someone who makes bad decisions, isn't even hat handsome by videogame standards, and rocks the kind of tracksuit that looks it would catch fire on a sunny day. Leave him alone for a few seconds and the first thing he does is scratch his balls. But he's also fearless, funny and ...
...is a god mane gone wrong. Haunted by the horors of war in eastern Europe, and the life of crime he drifted into because he wasn't fit for anything else, Niko arrives in Liberty City lured by the promise of easy money, and even easier girls, only to get sucked into his cousin Roman's shuttle crash for life. And so begins the funniest, most freeform and, for my money, best GTA yet. As for the american dream, you can guess how hat works out. Midway ...

My Life and GTA Life.

Advantages: It's GTA
Disadvantages: You cannot shoot off peoples heads.

In summary, the game offers lots of depth. Does any more need to be said? You have freedom, you have challenge, you have missions (if you wish to complete them), you basically have choices. Throughout the game, you can decide which action you take. Please bare in mind I am only about 1/2 way through, but so far: Graphics, very good - my Mum has slowly seen the GTA's adapt to the modern world, and she was gob-smacked at the quality and graphical ...
...hitting a letter box and multi colour and sizes of envelopes flying everywhere. Story, detailed, in depth, you understand and relate to the characters well and the characters vary from cousin to someone who's just got out of jail. People respond differently depending on the environment of the game you are in at the time. Flexibility: Do missions? or Freeplay? Missions - at moments, you can decide whether to go with your head or your heart, you ...

Grand Theft Auto 4 The Truth

Advantages: Brillaint story, graphics, gameplay, sound shooting, driving, mini games and more
Disadvantages: multiplayer is average

=== Grand Theft Auto 4 === == Introduction == Grand theft auto is finally here and was very highly rated as the play station 3 top seller and rightly so as this game is amazing, graphics, story, game play, online (sort of) ... everything I just brilliant. You your still not convinced about GTA 4 read on... all 5 of you. == Story == The story is GTA 4 is very very well done, though not a drama it still has its funny, sad shocking and serious moments ...

GTA 4 back to the dark seriousness of GTA 3

Advantages: great game, lots to do, beautiful graphics, addictive story line
Disadvantages: annoying girlfriends

I've played the heck out of this. Here's my thoughts. Graphics - WOW! Its really beautiful. Massive and beautiful. The detail on everything is amazing. The little clever things like the foot prints in the sand on the beach or the man watering plants with a watering can. A person standing at a bus stop reading a newspaper. The little things, that make the game great. The way if you want to steal a stationary car and its locked you put the window in ...
...on what you have equipped. With empty hands you might just assault the driver but with a gun, you might just threaten them. The way, to do a drive by, you have to smash the window out from the inside. The way you can wheel spin a car til the tyres come off. The small improvements. Like climbing, run/sprinting, pushing people out of the way. If you go too fast and hit a solid object, you might get thrown through the windscreen (yes, i did). The ...

...most hyped games of 2008. Grand Theft Auto 3 was the first major game for the PS2, and set the standard for all other PS2. It offered something new, graphics would good and the story was great. Then Vice City follwoed will fresh ideas, the ability to own businesses, have your own gang, and the new chooice in weapons was good. ...to keep people interested until Grand Theft Auto 4. (i dont really count Grand Theft Auto 1 & 2 as games, more like mistakes that happened) That is the history Grand Theft Auto 4 had to follow, it had something new a Eastern European player, but the location led to a probelm yes it was redesigned but Liberty City had been done (twice if you include Liberty City Stories). The game offered very little in terms of new developments, my view is that ...

Grand Theft Auto so nearly there

Advantages: Great graphics and audio, excellent storyline, immersive environments, entertaining
Disadvantages: Takes ages to install, new control system will take time to get used to

Grand Theft Auto IV comes to the PS3 and brings with it high definition graphics and a huge amount of promise. You buy this game and can't wait to get onto the joys of driving around in new and superbly detailed cars only to find upon inserting this disk that you need to wait for the installation to complete (during which I would advise you get a drink, snacks and get your toilet break in as once into the game you are not going to want to stop for ...
...yet another of the great Grand Theft Auto series and you yet again have objectives set that will require some effort to complete but this is why you buy this game. Overall this is simply stunning and gives us a glimpse of the future as this is only the first of what I am sure will be many GTA games on the PS3. Pick it up as you can normally pick it up for about £20 and it is truly worth it even if just to try your hand at speeding the streets in ...

I thought I killed you?...

Advantages: Good Graphics, Guns and general roaming space.
Disadvantages: Repetitive missions and poor online play.

Okay, I admit I have only completed a couple of missions or so but I believe I can still give a good review. Just like everyone else I was eagerly awaiting the release of Gta's first "next gen" adventure. Preordered off Amazon and it came on release day. The story is about a Serbian/Polish/Russian immigrant who is trying to make it "big" in America with his brother Roman. However Roman has many gambling debts and soon finds himself in a lot of trouble. ...
...know how to explain it but they seem "fuzzy". When under bridges and motorways it is near pitch black and when it is dark on the ground the sky is blue? Granted, so far I have not seen the same pedestrian twice, but I have heard different peoploe talk about the same things. The cars are nicely polished, however, there are too many standard sedans, so stealing cars gets repetitive. There is the odd porche, but without cheats these are hard to find. ...

GTA IV

Advantages: Detailed and involving plot and great graphics
Disadvantages: slightly repetative, problems with not finding this to spend money on

Yet another addition to the Gran Theft Auto series which fails to dissapoint. Rockstar, despite doing several games previous to this one, still have new ideas. This game is a contrast to previous games in the GTA series adnt his has proven to be popular with some and unpopular with others. This game takes on the more serious side of crime and follows the life of Niko Bellic after he illeagally emigrates to Liberty City, the land of opportunity ...

After meeting his cousin, Roman, and discovering that the luxury flat is crawling with cocroaches, the business empire is struggling taxi firm and the sports cars are way out sight Niko moves into a life of crime, working for small time gangsters, Irish family gangs and the much despised Russians amongst others. Throughout the game Roman meets some interesting people, he sees some of them die ...

Lives Up To The Hype!!

Advantages: Addictive.
Disadvantages: Addictive.

The much awaited release of GTA IV created more hype around the game than any game before it. With previous GTA releases such as 'GTA: San Andreas' and 'GTA Vice City' being huge successes on the PS2 everyone expected the first instalment on the PS3 to pass that with ease. You play the part of Niko Belic who has left his homeland in order to find a better life in America but as you'd expect things didn't pan out as he'd hoped. The first few missions ...
...into the game and to give you an idea of the situation your character finds himself in. You'll find yourself easing through many of the missions and not until you hit the latter stages will you start to find it challenging (It obviously differs depending on your familiarity with GTA games). And even if you do find yourself easing through many missions it will still leave you entertained. Rockstar have made the game more realistic than previous ...

GTA IV (PS3)

Advantages: Graphics, Physics, Gameplay
Disadvantages: Does not offer anything new

I have owned GTA IV for a week now and I have already played over 20 hours. Someone could say that I'm addicted. Plot: Game's main character is Niko Bellic, who is a Serbian immigrant. He came to America to live the famous American Dream but he quickly realizes that thing's aren't so good as his cousin Roman has told him. I think that GTA IV has the best plot of the series so far. It's touching, it's funny and it's full of action. There are many ...
...you will eventually have to kill. Plot is not very complicated but it's not too simple either. Graphics: GTA series finally arrived to next generation consoles and it couldn't look better. Lightning is awesome and you can't praise physics enough. New Euphoria Engine looks cool and people act naturally to bullet and car hits. Gameplay: GTA series has always suffered from poor combat. Well, at least it suffered from it before. Things are a lot different ...

Realistic Massacre!

Advantages: Great detail
Disadvantages: lots of 'features' have been taken out from the previous game

Grand theft auto San Andreas must of been pretty hard to follow up on, I know many people that still favour it over GTA 4. The game play is still pretty much what you would expect from a GTA game. One big difference is the car handling which is more realistic, if your just migrating from San Andreas or Playstaion 2 in genral, you'll find it hard at first. The Graphics are amazing, exactly what you'd expect from a Playstation 3 title. The attention ...
...of terror on a person's face when you aim a gun at them, also little things like the muffled sound of the car radio when you close the door & the waves in the ocean during different types of weather. The story it self isn't bad either, it's interesting all the way through. You also get to make decisions which alter the story line which I find, makes the game more life like. You also get to choose to be good friends with the in-game-characters by ...
