...the sequel to the classic Grand Theft Auto 3. Prior to this game being released in November 2002 by Rockstar North, the antipation for this title was at exceptionally high levels. And as with the previous game it was critically acclaimed. This time around the game is set in a 1980's Miami-esque location called Vice City. We play as Tommy Vercetti - this time we have a character with a name and who a guy talks the talk, and can back it up.

- Motorbikes have been added this time round. These are useful for the narrow alleys contained within the game. The best motorbike is the PCJ 600 and this vehicle is especially helpful when trying to complete all 36 unique jumps. Also exceptional is going from rooftop to rooftop in a later mission - it is really cool.
- You can buy properties (15 in fact) situated all over Vice City as the game progresses. ...

...who know the joy of Grand Theft Auto, thats a BIG deal. I pre ordered mine from Play.com and its been posted today. AWOOHOO!!!
As far as gaming goes, I didnt have a clue about GTA until I met my boyfriend 3 years ago, and his brother showed me the ways of GTA 3, and Ive never looked back. We used to spend hours together trying to complete the missions, their mum must have thought I was crazy, one minute we'd be discussing hangbags and mascara and ... ...strategy, its all in there. Grand Theft Auto are the best and most original games Ive ever played, and Im including Alex Kidd in there! (Remember that? wow)
The game is mission based, you have to complete jobs for people to get paid, which means you can buy stuff and unlock things to make the game develop further. Doing this you make loads of friends and loads of enemies, but you dont care about that, you just want to make sure everyone knows you ...

...played any of the other Grand Theft Auto games you will have a rough idea of how the game works. It’s now up to you to earn money in anyway you can, kill off anyone who comes in your way and have a bit of fun when doing it all.
The missions cover a good range of scenarios, you could be on the golf course assassinating a heavily protected rival in the morning and spending the evening hijacking a military tank. No two missions are identical; I don’t ... ...spoil the fun for you. The city scenery, people, vehicles and everything else are very realistic. Shoot a tire on a car and see sparks as the driver finds it harder to control, likewise watch out for police spikes doing the same to your tires. Shoot a person and their injury realistically reflects where you hit them and with which weapon. This is part of the controversy into this game especially when you shoot someone’s head off their shoulders only ...

...is a considerable improvement on Grand Theft Auto 3. There are more gangs, more missions and a whole new city to get to grips with. This is a huge game that will keep you on the edge of you’re seat for weeks. This time you play Tommy Vicetti who has just been released from prison. You are ordered by your former boss to go to Vice City, a small island with more criminals than grains of sand on a beach. Your mission is to take over the city, ... ...fantastic and reminds me of Grand Turismo 3. There’s also a huge variety of buildings and other landscapes which all look very believable.
As I said before, the brick shaped hands are the only real let down in terms of graphics. The beautiful environments, realistic characters and great attention to detail all make Vice City a wonderful place to live. The only other thing I can criticise is the way the cars suddenly disappear into thin air ...

...I have decided to borrow Grand Theft Auto: Vice City off a mate, and write a review that should have been wrote a long time ago!!! So anyway, here it is now!
The Game is set in 1986. The character you play with is called Tommy Vercetti, and you have just been released from prison. It is a bit smaller than San Andreas, but when the game first came out, it was the biggest game there was!
I think that the game creates an 80's atmosphere perfectly, what with the purple lights on the streets, everyone wearing expensive suits and driving fancy cars and bikers lining the streets of Vice City.
In the game, to find out where your money and drugs are, ...

Title: Grand Theft Auto - Vice City
Designer: Rockstar Games
RRP: £ 35.99
Availability: Out Now PS2 (And Newly Released On PC)
A brief history: GTA: Vice City, a hazy dream surely when the original game was released - Grand Theft Auto was a far less complex, but enthralling concept whereby a car criminal had to perform a series of jobs for individuals in the murkey underworld of a corrupt city, much has changed since the release in 1997 seemingly ... ...the title.
Conclusion:
Grand Theft Auto III was considered a fine game by critics and gamesplayers alike, GTA: Vice City has surpassed its predecessor in every way. So much so that a PC version has been released due to popular demand for the title to reach the format. Sales records were shattered by the release and it was one of those titles that flies off the shelves breaking all kinds of sales records as it goes. The game itself is stunning, ...

...- My only vice.
Grand Theft Auto - Vice City has been out for a few months now, but a driving, beat-'em-up mafia-type game has never appealed to me, so despite thinking GTA2 on the Playstation was an ok game, I was never tempted to buy Vice City. Then my birthday came around.
At the back end of January I opened my pressies surrounded by the family (or should I say that my two year old opened my pressies before I had a chance to blink), and sitting ... ...the Playstation 2. * Manufacturer

Picture the scene: It's the 1980's. Tommy Vercetti is sent to Vice City by Sonny Forelli, his old boss, having just completed a long stretch in maximum security. Forelli is understandably nervous about Tommy's re-appearance in Liberty City, hence the trip down South. However, his arrival ...

...I never played the original Grand Theft Auto, so can’t make a comparison (which might be a good thing).
From the start you play the game as a character called Tommy Vercetti and are faced with loads of challenges and situations which you must pass to move on to the next stage of the game. For each stage passed you get a cash reward and for some you are rewarded with extra ‘features’.
You don’t have to play Vice City to pass all the challenges – ... ...If you want, you can just nick a nice car run people over, nick their money or rob a shop, collect weapons which are hidden all over the place and leg it from the law if you get too much of a wanted level.
Watch out for that wanted level, with one star, you can wait a bit of time, stay out of trouble and it will go – if you get close to the police though watch out because they will nick you.

I was dubious at first abouth the idea of a 3-D GTA seeing as i avoided GTA 3 but when i played GTA - Vice City i was surpised by it's quality.
For fans of the GTA series this is a must own game. Not only does it contain all the elements of the previous games but it moulds it into the 3-D environment prefectly and has a storyline to be envied by most films.
The backdrop of the game is that your are in the 1980's. Your character is a recently released ... ...to oversee a drug deal on behalf of his boss. The deal goes wrong and it's Tommy's job to sort it out. The best thing about this game is that you don't have to follow the storyline at all if you don't want. Grand Theft Auto Vice City has to be one of the best games I have played in my life, bar of course the wicked Transport Tycoon on the PC!
