"Do you have the time, to listen to me whine..."

Advantages-

Disadvantages-

"...Apollo, Hammersmith, London Main Act - Green Day Support - New Found Glory ~~~ The Venue ~~~ The venue in itself was an absolute joy, providing comfortable seating with decent views of the band and the surrounding area in general. Having been an old cinema, the seats were previously catered to allow a prime view of the stage area, and luckily that hasn’t been compromised since it’s renovation to an ‘events’ arena. The Apollo itself, has ..." Read review

[Billie Joe brings his buddies to MK] Review with images

Advantagesthe emotion, the feeling, the band-fan interaction, everything

DisadvantagesHard-Fi

"...2005' in January and February, Green Day announced plans for a huge show at the Milton Keynes Bowl, one which would become their biggest ever single performance in their 16 years as a band. Ticket sales day came and went - the gig had sold out within the hour, and the band consequently named a second date for a repeat performance the following night. Over the weekend of June 18th and 19th, Green Day would play to a combined audience of 130,000 people, ..." Read review

Green Day Live - Milton Keynes June 2005 Review with images

AdvantagesA Great Concert on a great day

DisadvantagesNotihing to do with Green Day, but the Traffic!

"...to see them, and regarded Green Day as a bonus. Hard-Fi were the first on at 5, unfortunately I missed the whole of their set, but talking to people around us later on, apparently they weren't that good, and didn't really get the crowd going very well. Taking Back Sunday were 2nd on at 615pm, better known than Hard-Fi, they certainly had a lot of energy in their set, getting the now almost full crowd moving, although at this point the crowd on ..." Wembley Arena,17/7/02- Green Day, Crush Review with images

AdvantagesElectric live set, audience participation, great fu, pyros & fireworks

DisadvantagesLack of diversity, poor support act, expensive venue

"Green Day’s appearance at Wembley was a much-talked about topic in the office on Monday. I was therefore greatly surprised when on the same night I get a phone call from a beloved friend telling me that he had won 2 tickets via Xfm to see the first of there two shows! And so the story begins….. Support acts at Wembley are usually well known bands, with their own stage settings and backdrop. Cue many puzzled faces when a band that we had never ..." Read review

Green Day live - Carling Apollo 7/2/05

AdvantagesA fab night out

Disadvantagesnone

"...son gave me the latest Green Day album - American Idiot - for Christmas, I was a little hesitant. I had asked for it based on the first two singles released - the beautiful 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams' and the title track, 'American Idiot'. But this was a band I had loved 10 years ago at the time of their 'Dookie' album. Somehow I'd lost track of them and not followed their career since then. What if I didn't like this album? What if it tainted the ..." Read review

Live Without Warning

AdvantagesPlenty off Dookie tracks

DisadvantagesNot enough off of other albums

"...was an introductory gig to Green Day's new stuff on 'Warning' for the die hard American fans. As they state during the intervals a lot of the younger people there skived off school to go and see the band. They jump staright in with what ws the current single 'Minority' and then follow that up with track 3 of 'Warning' which is 'Church On Sunday'. They play a lot of tracks off of 'Dookie' (Longview, Welcome To Paradise, Basket Case, She, When I ..." Read review

I had the "Time of my life" Live at M.E.N.A

AdvantagesAn absolutely amazing concert

DisadvantagesIt was long enough

"When I was told that Greenday were coming on tour to Manchester i was sooooooo happy and when I managed to get standing tickets i was even happier. A group of me and my mates went 6 hours before the concert started so we could queue to get to the front. Imagine my excitment when it actually payed off and i was stood at the barrier 1 metre away from the stage that Greenday would be performing on!! The supporting act was New Found Glory and after ..." Green Day live at Nottingham Ice Arena

Advantagesbrilliant songs atmosphere

Disadvantageslarge venue

"I have been listening to Green Day music for the past five years, so I was really excited about actually going to see them live. The gig was absolutely mind blowing, and lived up to all of my expectations, even though it was in such a large venue. The band played many tracks from their new album, "Warning", but also played older material. Billie Joe Armstrong (lead singer) was full of energy and was a brilliant showman, regularly squrting a water ..." Read review

If you never see another live act, see this lot!

AdvantagesThe band less than 2 feet away and playing longer than billed

DisadvantagesSweltering heat and crushing crowd

"...who's actually managed to see Green Day 3 times this year and as the venues increased in size so did my admiration for this band. So far I've seen them at Hammersmith Apollo, Milton Keynes Bowl and finally at T in the Park. Not once did they leave me feeling disappointed, from the moment they came on stage to the final chords ringing out across the audience, they didn't stop or tire once. The show usually kicks off with (after the support) with ..." Read review

Great Performance, Great Day out.

AdvantagesGreat value for money

DisadvantagesExpensive prices

"When Greenday anncounced their upcoming concert in Milton Keynes we were immediately trying to get tickets.Greenday were currently flying high after just releasing their album 'American Idiot' . We had tickets for the 2nd and last night at Milton Keynes' National Bowl in June 2005 with a sell-out crowd of 65000 ready for the concert. The supporting bands were Hard-Fi , Taking Back Sunday and Jimmy Eat World all played very well. The only disappointments ..." Read review

green day give a good day

AdvantagesGood Music

DisadvantagesToo expensive

"I saw Green Day live in Manchester last December, having been a fan for about 3 years and knowing all of their music off by heart. They were amazing. Not only did they sing all of the best songs, but they kept up with the audience and invited a fan on stage to learn to play one of their chords with them. They also got a massive water soaker and used it to soak the audience. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing and they really interacted with the ..." Read review

Awesome show

AdvantagesExcellent show

DisadvantagesVicious crowds!

"I had the pleasure of seeing Greenday at Distortion Festival, in Woollaton Park, Nottingham. Although they were last on, they were well worth the wait. A dramatic entrance with sirens and fireworks led me to believe they would open with Warning, but they didn't. Luckily, it was raining at the time, because if it wasn't, I would have surely died from the heat. 15,000 people crushed into a small park creates a lot of it. AS for the music, it was absolutely ..." Read review

Greenday - Live without Warning

AdvantagesAmazing performaces and humerous parts

DisadvantagesDookie dominated - should have included a few more songs from Insomniac - i know it included Geek Stink Breath but it should have had Brat, 86 etc. along with Nice Guys Finsih Last and possibly some old stuff from 1039/smoothed out slappy hours

"...concert. It was a great Green Day concert but was dominated with songs from Dookie. The only exceptions were Hitchin' a ride - Nimrod, Various songs off of Warning and concluding with Going to Paselaqua off of Kerplunk! along with others. One of the funniest moment was when Billie-Joe invited people from the crowd to play as a support band. They song half of a Billie Idol song - Bilt Street Mob. Overall this was an amazing Greenday gig! try and ..." Read review
