DO YOU WANNA BE A ROCK GOD 2!!
Review of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PS2) by DixieChick10

Advantages: Better than the orginal two.
Disadvantages: Need the guitar which is £20 extra.

...of you have read my Guitar Hero 2 review and hopefully enjoyed it, well here it is, the new and improved version GUITAR HERO 3.. I wanted this game since it came out, I brought the second one back in September but without the guitar and found that to be alright, but a couple of weeks ago I got a call from my mum asking if I wanted Guitar Hero 3, she had managed to find it in Tesco's for £25 instead of £50. I of course said yes and the shop had ... Read review

Release your inner Guitar Hero!
Review of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PS2) by midpikyrozziy

Advantages: Incredibly addictive, great soundtrack
Disadvantages: A bit pricey, could have even more songs

...third installment in the prolific Guitar Hero needed to be good in order to match its rival Rock Band, and it doesn't disappoint. Activision has produced the best in the series so far, and the rival games will have to step up to match this one. The aim of Guitar Hero 3 - Legends of Rock retains the same gameplay as the previous two. Using a special guitar-shaped controller, the players aim is to hit notes as they scroll towards the bottom of the ... Read review

There's life in the old PS2 dog yet
Review of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PS2) by dobieg

Advantages: Uses the old PS2 platform
Disadvantages: still costs you a minimum of £30

...basic form of an electric guitar – on the fretboard are six coloured buttons, these correspond directly to the right hand controls on a standard PS2 controller, indeed this can still be used as an alternative. Where you’d strum the strings is a broad switch, a tremolo arm and a couple of pushbutton switches where the volume and tone pots are usually positioned complete the illusion. Two versions of the guitar are available – a ‘cabled’ one – ... Read review

So, you want to be a guitar hero?
Review of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PS2) by ntg13

Advantages: extremely enjoyable and origional
Disadvantages: can be a little expensive, hard to put down!

...controllers from the two previous guitar hero games are compatible with this one.. The game is sold in many high street stores, such as HMV and Game Station and can also be easily found on the internet. The controller for the game is a small plastic wireless guitar. It has 5 couloured fret buttons, a stummer and a whammy bar. No previous knowledge of guitars is necessary and the tutorials can teach you everything you need to know to start playing. There ... Guitar Hero 3
Review of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PS2) by DDRShaolin

Advantages: Excellent song list, good learning curve, excellent replay value
Disadvantages: The lead singer design is awful.

I'm a Guitar Hero addict. This series of rhythm based guitar playing has completely restored my faith in gaming. After a particularly bland spot through the early 00's of story based games I found myself buying SNES and Megadrive games on Ebay to satisfy my need for good old fashioned pick up and play enjoyment. Guitar Hero is the first game to really capture that spirit again, in my humble opinion. For those out there unfamiliar with the series, ... Read review

Guitar Hero Me!
Review of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PS2) by vikkiknight

Advantages: so addictive, brilliant game
Disadvantages: so addictive! does get progressively harder which can frustrate

...house and the stupid plastic guitar was sitting in front of the tv inviting me to push all the right buttons. I thought 'what the hey' there was nobody there to laugh at me when I did bad and if I did suck at it nobody would know I ever even considered picking up the guitar. Now, when I tried it I was finding it really awkward for some reason although I didn't start off too badly. I'm left handed so I put it down to that, until I was flicking through ... Read review

Rockin' Good Game
Review of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PS2) by hawkinsgal

Advantages: Good songs, good graphics, great interaction
Disadvantages: false advertising with certain songs

...controller you get is a guitar which is fantastic fun to use. There are 5 coloured buttons on the neck of the guitar and there is a plucking button on the body of the guitar which you have to strum as you play a note, like a real guitar. This controller even has a WAHWAH stick on it for the longer notes in the game. Now, the object of the game is to complete songs without getting booed off the stage and the further you get the harder the songs get. ... Read review

A good game; but easily inferior to the previous game.
Review of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PS2) by BigBovy

Advantages: Very addictive, many songs, new modes.
Disadvantages: Worse than GH2 in nearly every way, HO-PO system is bad, most songs are bad.

...battle mode and now has guitar boss battles. Most songs are master tracks. Has downloadable content; new songs and quite a few are free. Online mode with battle mode and versus mode. Has a co-op set list. Cons: Inferior to Guitar Hero 2 in almost every way. Let me explain... The Hammer-On, Pull-Off system is much easier, making songs quite a bit more dull. It's hard to describe but it feels like you are playing the song as timing for hitting ... Read review

Guitar Hero: 3 review
Review of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PS2) by ReviewIt01

Advantages: very easy to use, good sound quality
Disadvantages: Bad graphics

I found the guitar hero: 3 game a very fun and enjoyable game, that can be played with family and friends at all gaming levels. A wide veriaty of songs allows most users to play meny songs they enjoy in 4 levels: easy, mediam, hard, and expert. This means that no matter what standard you are playing at, you can enjoy it without getting bored of failing a cirtain level. The games graphics are not particularly good, but the sound quality of the game ... Read review

Guitar Hero III legends of rock..your a star!
Review of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PS2) by meggles1988

Advantages: Fantastic gameplay where you can really see progress you make
Disadvantages: Dont get wireless controller

I love guitar hero, im addicted to it. I was slighlty let down by guitar hero 2...but I have to say they certainly made up for it in Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock! So whats better? The songs, there is a great variety, some more classics that we totally forgot about in the other 2 games and some other entertaining ones (try doing dragonforce and say its easy!). The fact that the songs are actually performed by the actual bands, because lets face ... Read review

Guitar Hero
Review of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PS2) by Indie_Star

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

...you must stop the opponent's guitar from working, so instead of star power, you're awarded weapons (my favourites being Broken String and Amp Overload) to throw at your opponent's fretboard. Slash (Guns 'N' Roses, Velvet Revolver) is pretty similar to Tom Morello in the way of the battle, but his challenge theme is obviously different and it would seem Slash is a little sneakier (or maybe I was a bit slower; while Morello didn't get any weapons ... Guitar Hero 3
Review of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PS2) by Lemon_biskit

Advantages: Awesome soundtrack and serves brilliantly as a party game
Disadvantages: Expensive and extremely tedious after the first few songs

...to the previous incarnations of Guitar Hero, meaning that the bulk of the action isn't set around a gripping and provocative storyline, instead centering around the gameplay aspect of hitting 5 coloured buttons as fast as you can whilst trying to keep in time with the blazing rock music streaming from your television. This ultimately results in you murdering your favourite song by intermittently adding irritating 'plinky plonky' noises where you ave ... Read review

Guitar Hero is a God
Review of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PS2) by toxicteen

Advantages: so much better than the originals
Disadvantages: the guitar costs extra

...all time! I first played guitar hero 2 at my boyfriends house and i became as addicted to it as he was. I knew i just had to have it, so within three months i'd saved up enough money to buy the game and guitar. I was looking around on the internet when i search for it on amazon, but as i scrolled down i found guitar hero 3 was due to be released just one week before my birthday. The only problem was i didnt have enough money for it. The solution, ... Read review

Quick review of Guitar Hero 3 (PS2)
Review of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PS2) by kkcmariposa

It is so much fun. Here I am a mom of 4 and I love playing this game with my kids. And I have to say that I am pretty goood. It is fun trying to mess up your opponents in the battle mode. I have to say this one is better then the other two. I highly recomend it.

Rockin. woo.
Review of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock (PS2) by Rcalvert3

Advantages: Awesome game, great tunes, broadens your musical horizons
Disadvantages: after playing for too long, look at the wall and it looks like it's breathing

...you any better at REAL guitar you know!" yeah, we know. But it's a hell of a lot easier, as we all tried to play guitar, and then gave up when our fingertips starting bleeding. However, I digress, the game. It has a large number of very cool songs on it, my favourites including "black magic woman", "Cliffs of Dover" and the hilarious "Heir Kommt Alex" which we realised that if you sing along with in a loud and rowdy sort of way sounds a lot like "here ...
