Advantages Advantages A cheaper way to enjoy this popular belgian chocolate

Disadvantages Disadvantages What you mean apart from fat / calories? Nothing!!

Okay, its a fair cop! I do loiter around my local shops each day waiting for a new product to emerge so that I can test for you all. After all, if I told you that I'd managed to find yet another yummy newcomer to the confectionary scene BY ACCIDENT.....well you might believe me but thousands wouldn't ;-) I did actually see this product on the counter of my local "One Stop" shop last week - but as I had already paid for my purchases, I didn't wait to be the sad person who joined the long queue again, just to buy two of these (remember - any new product must also be bought for the husband to ... more

Advantages Advantages The gorgeous taste of Guylian in a bar

Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't feel as indulgant as eating a box of chocolates

I'm in heaven, chocolate heaven. Mark came in from work last night with a bar of chocolate for me. 'Hang on' I can hear you all shouting, 'Chocolate for Chris isn't such a big thing considering the amount she gets through every day.' But this is different. This is the wonderful Guylian chocolate (usually seen at Christmas time in boxes) in bar form. Whatever next? For those of you who haven't encountered Guylian chocolates, where have you been??? They're small very rich *Belgian* chocolates that come in the shape of shells and seahorses and they feel really posh as you're eating them despite ... more

Advantages Advantages My favourites, in a handy, easy to scoff format

Disadvantages Disadvantages Hot trains do not bring out the best in them

Since September I’ve been interviewing for a fair few graduate jobs, and though I won’t be located there if employed, most of the interviews have been in London. It was on my last trip that I spotted these bars. I’ve gushed about the boxed version before, but didn’t know they existed in this format until that fateful day in December when, dressed smartly in a suit, and holding a McFlurry in one hand, I saw them on the shelves of a tiny newsagents and promptly bought 3. The bars I bought cost me 45p each, which I found quite reasonable for posher-than-average chocolate in a more-expensive-than ... more

***Orignially posted on dooyoo in 2007*** Guylian Praline Chocolate Bar Feeling depressed with having this baby inside for so long my boyfriend tried cheering me up with an array of different chocolate bars and luckily enough this wonderful bar was amongst them. I do love the Guylian chocolate because it is so wonderfully creamy and I had not realised that they made a bar of this chocolate I only knew of the box of chocolates that they do in the shell shapes. The boyfriend said he paid around 50pence for the bar, which is half the price that you would pay to buy one of the mini boxes of shell ... more

On my continuous quest for finding a delicious chocolate bar that I haven't yet tried, I came across this Guylian Praline chocolate bar on the shelf of my local Woolworths. I have a slight fetish for buying myself small boxes of chocolate (well some ones gotta!) and this brand are well known to me for selling the Belgium Shell chocolates available in a mini box containing four shells and priced at around 99p. I was very pleased to find an untested, by my lips, chocolate bar and purchased it without any hesitation. History of Guylian ------------------------- Guy and Liliane Foubert founded the ... more

Advantages Advantages cheaper than a large box of chocs

Disadvantages Disadvantages less fun than a large box of chocs

If someone was going to buy me a box of chocolates, i'd think about directing them to Guylian seashells which are absolutely delicious. Guylian praline is basically the seashell chocolate concept(softish praline chocolate surrounded by a glossy harder chocolate coating) incorporated into a chocolate bar. The bar also has a raised seashell effect on the top Probably the best thing about this particular product is that you can have a little taste of Guylian chocolate without forking out for a huge box of chocs. I'm really sorry but i'm not sure of the exact price, but think it's just a tiny bit ... more

What I hadn't thought about is what will I do with my sunday? Sunday was 'essay day'. Today, being the first sunday, I have discovered what I will do......Nothing. Yet to be paid, I can't even shop. So after much thought, I decided I'd walk the dog. This shocked my family, my sister placed the back of her hand on my forehead asking "Steff, are you feeling okay???" (I er, havent walked the dog in 5 years). So off I set ... more
