Probably the best monitor for £140

Advantages: 22" for the price of a 19" / pin sharp 1680 resolution
Disadvantages: menu navigation below average

This monitor was a major jump for me, as my old Hansol CRT had nothing wrong (aside from being bulky, using lots of power, and being ugly compared to today's flat pannels). I put off getting LCDs until now, as I've never found one that can match a CRT for pure picture quality in all resolutions. That said, today's LCD's all still struggle as a trip to PC World confirmed after I spent a long time changing resolutions on all their display models (Luckily ...
...at all and distract me from this experiment). The one monitor that stood out for price vs quality was Hanns G, which has a 22" screen for a 19" price. I bought this from AdvanceTec for less than £140 and was amazed when it arrived, and wished I'd upgraded sooned. Going from a 1024x768 to the native resolution of 1680x1050 transformed my computing experience. The sharpness in detail, which can be adjusted in 6 stages is flawless. The colours are vibrant ...

Superb Quality 22" LCD Monitor

Advantages: Price, HDMI (DIGITAL), Superb Quality,Sharp Picture, Widescreen
Disadvantages: Tinny Speakers, Blue light power button a wee bit bright.

I was looking to upgrade my 17" Acer 1712 LCD which was 4 years old to something much bigger and better and decided after already having a 19" Hannsg monitor in the family which worked brilliantly to do quite a bit of research on the internet. I then decided that the best bang for buck was this 22" model (actual size 21.6").The monitor arrived on a next day delivery which was very fast from http:// www.ebuyer.co.uk and cost £146.97,which for a 22" ...
...The monitor is well protected with polystyrene blocks and everything is sealed in plastic packaging, all inside a very sturdy cardboard package.Inside the box you get a VGA cable, european power lead, a uk power lead, speaker lead and guarantee along with a software/driver cd, quick start guide and not forgetting the 22" monitor and its stand. The stand is a simple push fit into the base of the monitor where it clicks into place easily, to remove ...

HANNS.G HG216DP

Advantages: Easy to set up, attractive finish, excellent picture quality
Disadvantages: Sound is adequate for everyday use, not for games, music etc

I originally bought this monitor when looking for a cheap second monitor to replace an old CRT monitor. It arrived in some very good packagingand was provided with clear and easy to understand setup instructions. The really great thing about this monitor is that it is plug and play, no extra drivers needed. Windows XP has been able to configure it to work. The user handbook comes on CD-ROM in the form of a PDF. This is cleary explains everything ...
...simple. About the only thing that could be said against it is that the built in speakers do not produce a very loud volume, so if you are looking to play videos or games I would recommend external speakers. The monitor is also quite stylish in appearance and you really benefit form the slim design ...

Quick review of HANNS.G HG216DP

Brilliant monitor but the blue 'on' light is so so so so bright! Doubt if I'll be able to live with it, it really is very, very blue and very very bright. Really is a shame cos this is a seriously good monitor. HannnsG, what the heck is this blue light all about. My eyes are constantly drawn towards the light, very distracting. Would give 5 stars but the blue light has put me off, cannot live with it. ...

The Hannsg HG216DP Review!!

Advantages: Perfect picture on native resolution, HDMI Port, satisfactory design and no blurring.
Disadvantages: Bad speakers; not terrible, bad HD quality, text breaks down and hard monitor base installation

The Hannsg HG216DP monitor is a 22" monitor; with an aspect ratio of 16:10.It comes with a VGA port and an HDCP port, the latter allowing connection to a HD games console or a digital connection when connected to a PC through a HDMI>DVI Adapter. However the VGA port should provide a similar quality experience, the only problem is that it's bound to get some interferance; this is very rare though and i am yet to experience such a thing. This monitor ...
...the resolution is lowered the text starts to break down very badly and is barely readable from a distance of a metre or so. This text breaking also reduces the prospect of a good PS3 HD gaming experience as 720p. This is as 720p is a resolution of 1280 x 720; hence 720, when the monitor is set to this resolution the text breaks down..... ...
