This is my very worsrt experience of ordering on-line. I made an order with HMV based upon their 2 page ad in the Xmas Radio Times. I ordered 5 titles. Only one was available. Why take a 2 page ad in the Radio Times if you have no stock? Buyer be aware that stock is despatched from Guernsey which in my case entailed a 6 day delay in delivery. I was told that you have to be 'high' to like this show.... I disagree! I thoroughly enjoyed the show, it is my sort of sense of humour and I found it wacky and entertaining. Website ordering and processing is straightforward enough and the website is quite straightforward to use but when there is a problem with any item you receive that is when the problems begin. Excellent special offers, they notify you by email of special offers, also for any new releases on dvds and cds. Prices are competitive, delivery is quick and cheap. I have sent items overseas for gifts and have never been disappointed. Service is excellent too if you have a query the response is very quick and they answer your question unlike some other sites. They also have a download section and you can download favourite singles for around 99p ...

I am a regular HMV customer and always purchase from there store and know that the customer service i receive will be good and the product and always in mint condition. I've been using HMV for many years before I got in the internet and them days the prices were reasonable and a fair price I would pay out got the things I wanted but lately they've got to expensive, I wanted the On The Buses box set which they were charging £99.99 which wasn't worth it, so I went to play.com and got the same box set and also brand new for only £49.20. I send a complaint in saying how discusting the price was for the box and also ...

I have shopped at HMV for a number of years now. I used to go shopping in town every week and buy something from there, a game, dvd or a cd most weeks. I don't tend to go into the shop now as frequently as i don't buy cd's anymore, which was my main reason for shopping there. HMV being one of the sites that I do always check to see if they have anything cheap and sometimes they do beat the rest of the competition. HMV.co.uk is a site that I've only shopped at or odered from a few times but yet its one that I check regularly and that I find is very competitive. I tend to buy alot of DVDs and video games and the main recreational stuff I like to collect/buy on Ebay but when I decide that I want to buy brand new items online then the two websites that I check first are Play.com (I've already written a review about this site - check it out if your interested) ...

Ordered God of War 2, Sat 21st July. 30 mins later recieved email informing me that it had been despatched. Friday 27th July, still no game. Website quotes 2-5 days, so this is 5th day. However you aren't meant to contact them about orders until 10 days has elapsed since despatch = they expect it to take a lot longer than 5 days to arrive... Also, they weirdly charge your card by £1 instantly, then charge you for the item, and refund the £1 a few days later... Spoke to my dad, and he has had the same problems with HMV - yet items I've ordered from Amazon manage to come within 3 days! Don't go near HMV if you want an item delivered quickly! ...

HMV.co.uk has to be my number one online shop for mainly dvd's. I don't get much chance to buy my dvd's from the shop, so decided to check out the store online and so glad I did. I first bought a playstation game for a christmas present and it turned up 2 days later but was a psp game.
