Advantages: Looks good, prints fast, Disadvantages: Too expensive for heavy use
...poor old geriatric canon inkjet. HP quote about 8ppm and that seems about right. Not the fastest of lasers I know but were not doing runs of 20,000 books so it suits us fine.
Set up and install

Came in a really big box. Looks like itd take 2 printers but disappointingly there was only one.Usual plug-and-play set-up on a workstation via a usb (supplied). we got the technician to install it to the network at a later date ...

Advantages: great print quality - easy to install - small - good LCD display - easy to use menu system Disadvantages: poor print speed - noise
I do a lot of work from home and needed a new printer that would let me print off reports in colour quickly, for a fairly cheap price and it had to be reasonable compact so not to take up much space in my tiny work area at home. Having always used Hewlett Packard printers everywhere I worked their online shop was the first port of call and after browsing through the wide range that they sell I opted for the Color Laserjet 2600n for £210.

Advantages: Good print quality - when it works Disadvantages: Bad print quality on anything except standard paper, unreliable toner cartridges
It's a shame that the Laserjet 2600 is so unreliable as the print quality is excellent. Our experience is as follows:
First of all, printing on anything but blank 80gsm paper causes background toner smearing all over the page. We have tried many different types of card stock and glossy papers, all designed for the Laserjet 2600, but they all give the same problem.
If you want to print on anything but standard A4 white copy paper, then avoid ...

Advantages: Low Initial cost, individual colour/black Cartridge refill, efficient, ideal for small business. Disadvantages: Expensive refills, bulky machine.
I have had my HP 2600n for around two months now, and originally bought for small business use, though I have mostly used for personal use at the moment. On arrival I was quite shocked on the size; and as it is situated at home it doe's take up quite a chunk of my office/bedroom.
But of course being a HP product the print quality live up to the company reputation of high standards and the speed of printing is satisfactory for my needs. Unfortunately ...

I am a HP fan but this is down to experience with them.
They always seem to be reliable and this little beauty is no exception.

Advantages: exelent quality prints Disadvantages: bit slow
I have had this printer for some time now and I find it prints to a very high standard even on the economy and toner save settings. This printer is the most reliable printer I've had because other printers have lost quality with age even after a few months but the 2600n is still producing prints as good as when it was brand new to me. It is slightly slower than I expected but in comparison to the quality this is negligible. I would highly recommend ...
