Quick review of HP Compaq Business Notebook Nx7400
I bought this laptop for work and used every weekday for about 15 months.
I was delighted with it - it looks great and is pretty quick running XP with many applications at once (I purchased 2Gb) RAM. Also it has a lot of features like firewire that are hard to find on a decent laptop.
But after 12 months the battery held about 5 mins of charge. I did buy a replacement battery as I often use the laptop on the move. But then, another 3 months or so later - the laptop stopped charging from the AC (and it wasnt the charger I tried a new one). This made the laptop useless since no external charger is sold for batteries of this model.
I was out of warranty and after a chat to HP technical support the conclusion was that I basically could bin it or send it away for a repair (hundreds of pounds for a 600 pound laptop). No thanks. So afterall that, a disappointment. ...

Quick review of HP Compaq Business Notebook Nx7400
I've had the nx7400 with a 2.0gig dual core pentium (for the faster cache) for the best part of 2 years now and find it fulfills all my requirements, bar one which is built in wireless n+ standard.
After 2 years the fan is starting to get more noisy, and the trackpad button has started to stick a bit, but thats more down to my environment than the laptops fault... ...

Advantages: fairly fast, portable, good battery Disadvantages: havent found any yet.
i know this is no where near the best laptop around or anything and im nto going to bore you with the specs, just my own opinions cause you can get the specs by clicking a couple of buttons yourself. so here goes, i have had this laptop for a while and have found it to be very useful at times, it works like a wonder and for its price its not to bad. im quite happy about this laptop, it will run pretty much anything without stumbling over itself. ... ...trouble playing games nor running high end processor programs. very easy to connect almost anything to it, with plenty of usb 2.0's you can connect almost all high speed devices to it with ease.
ashamed to say that i did spill water over it once before and a few keys stopped working for a couple of days, but once i had cleaned it out it worked like normal.
