Compaq CQ50, my first laptop and I'll never look back

Advantages: good memory, can handle a lot at once, easy to use straight away
Disadvantages: Not many features included (just the basics), battery runs out within 2 hours

I’ve always had desktop computers before and when mine broke recently I decided enough was enough and I should get a new one. Looking in the shops a laptop seemed the best option. As I’m a student the money aspect was a big issue. I was shocked at how much the computers cost in general but was convinced to go for this middle of the range model by my parents and I’m very glad they did. When initially setting up the laptop I wanted to do it correctly ...
...could have easily been done without. Within 30 minutes I was on the internet, I found it easy to use. I use the laptop at least once a day for music, internet browsing, keeping in touch with friends and work; for this it is perfect. In my opinion for more than personal use it may not have enough hard drive. The laptop rarely gets me frustrated for being slow accept occasionally when it fails to connect to the internet (due to my room being too far ...

The Compaq CQ50 is a great value for money laptop

Advantages: Value for money, decent processor, lots of functionality
Disadvantages: Slightly poor battery life

This is a great value for money laptop. It is great as an everyday home-use computer although not very good for any games from what I have found out. The NVidia graphics are excellent and the screen is perfect for HD. Used the lightscribe function on the laptop many times and is very handy for labelling if you have the time as it takes around 30 min to burn a label. Wireless is very easy to set-up and it can find networks within seconds. The battery ...
...but thats just me being picky. It's fairly light and easily carried around and quite stylish for a low end laptop. The built in mic and camera allow easy socialising on msn messenger. The built in SD slot allows me to quickly upload photos and other files from my phone and with 3 USB slots, it is more than adequate for other peripherals. ...

Quick review of HP Compaq Presario CQ50

I find his laptop to be wonderful in it's price range. Speed? More than enough for music creation and watching vids. More than enough power for web surfing, and the detail reports I need to write ocassionally. My olny complaint is Vista itself. Pretty, but like that beauty you dated in high school, pretty doesn't always cut t. Bu the hardware is great, especially for the 394.99 I paid for it at Walmart. ...

Quick review of HP Compaq Presario CQ50

The first thing that was wrong was the wireless lan did not work so had to have it exchanged straight away, the second thing happened last week (the laptop is still only 7 weeks old !!), the touchpad mouse started playing up and then stopped working altogether - the tech guys had me doing system restores that didnt work and then a system recovery !!! - I had to wipe my harddrive completely clean on a new laptop - its still dodgy, it will work for a while and then stop again, as it did again today (tech guys this time talked me through a hard disc scan !!) I would assume a loose connection somewhere - not amused with either the laptop or pc world and would not recommend either to anyone !!! ...

I have been using this laptop for sometime now without any problem at all, it's got speed, stability and has never failed me not even for a single time, I initially went for Advent through the PC world, the two Advent's that were changed were all having fan problem, I guess may be the batch produced at the time were all having the same problem Techguys had to change it to this Compaq presario CQ50 and I am enjoying it, I have been using it for more than 6 months now, I will recommend it to anybody, there's nothing wrong with this product, two of my school friends are also using it for heavy programming and statistical calculations. ...

HP Compaq Presario CQ50

Advantages: Great features such as built in webcam
Disadvantages: It doesnt come with any software

I bought this laptop in October to replace my old IBM which was awful. This laptop has an excellent bright screen which can play movies in widescreen. The wireless feature is so easy to use - I set up my internet without a fuss and I always connect in seconds once I've switched my laptop on. The CQ50 comes with Vista which is really easy to use and much more modern and stylish compared to XP. The DVD/RW drive can also burn an image onto the top of ...
...be bought cheaply online. The laptop doesnt have an HD/ bluray player but it does have an HD multimedia interface which allows you to view videos in HD which are stored on an HD capable video camera or digital camera. The built-in webcam is a brilliant feature which allows you to take videos and photos too which can be uploaded to youtube via the built in camera software. Im a student and this laptop has managed to handle all my itunes libraries, ...
