Advantages Advantages Quick printing, excellent quality, cheap, compact

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not necessarily bad for everyone, but the cable to a plug socket is somewhat small

The HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One printer, scanner and copier is a life saver. As a student, often I find myself struggling to churn out work fast enough and need a reliable printer to quickly print great quality work time and time again. Funnily enough, I hadn't actually thought of buying a new printer. A few months ago, I already had a decent enough printer that although printing at a mediocre rate, did the job and I hadn't thought of buying a new printer. Then, the day an assignment was due, ironically enough, and I was required to print an entire booklet for myself and a friend, my old ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use and install, good features and warranty

I got the HP Deskjet 3050 from my parents at Christmas. At the start of this term we installed it in my university room. I installed the printer with no problems and since I have started using it there have been no problems. This all-in-one printer really does seem to me to have no faults. The printer itself came in a lovely box which was easy to carry from the car to my university room and even better than that 99% of the packaging can be recycled or reused. Additionally, according to HP the printer itself is created from 35% recycled plastic. Do not worry though it doesn’t look cheap or ... more

Advantages Advantages easy to use, fast, triple use (print/scan/copy)

    Disadvantages Disadvantages ink cartridges

The HP Deskjet 3050 is a simply brilliant machine - at an affordable price. We got ours a year or two ago, and it has never broken down or had to be sent for repairs. The only problem we've had is with finding its exclusive J610 ink cartridges - one that was remedied with a simple look on Amazon!Previously, our printer had only been able to photocopy and print, but having the scanning ability really helps with work. It has enabled me to quickly share work with others on the same assignments as me, reducing paper usage and allowing a much easier point of contact through emailing the 'sheets' ... more

Advantages Advantages Ideal for Uni work, the occasional picture. Easy to set-up. Fits well on desk/worksurface.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Noisy, colour ink doesn't last very long if your printing pictures. Idle setting is tempermental.

Me and my girlfriend share our printer and use it on a weekly basis for our university work. After comparing many of the cheapest printers online, we went to PC world and looked first hand for the cheapest printer/ink ratio. The printer cost £39.99 with the inks totalling £30. Our aim to buy the cheapest printer hasn’t worked out in the long run as 10 weeks later we have replaced the colour twice. The colour is built into one cartridge but allows the printer to resume printing even if one of them is empty. However the black is still going on its first cartridge. Within the first week of using ... more

Advantages Advantages Good connectivity, print quality and scanning function

Disadvantages Disadvantages Leaves a border around photos

I purchased this printer from Amazon for £36.99, which was a good price for an all-in-one printer, scanner and copier. I first used this printer with my old Medion MIM2080 laptop and it was easy to set up. However, the wi-fi connection between the printer and the laptop was not as good as the USB connection. It is currently connected to my new Acer Aspire 5336 and the wi-fi connection to it is even better. The installation software came with many applications such as one to scan objects; one to search for help on how to use the printer, check its ink levels and to set up the wireless ... more

    Advantages Advantages cheap, small, wireless

Disadvantages Disadvantages had to plug in to connect before it becomes wireless

This printer is perfect in so many ways! Firstly its cheap, but high quality. It has everything you need including a scanner and printer which can realy come in handy. Not only is the printer cheap but the ink cartridges can also be found cheaply in your local supermarket or pc store. The printer is wirless too which means even if you live in the smallest house like myself, it can be kept in a cupboard somewhere and you can wirelessly print from any room. The printer is light weight and easy to set up enabling anyone to use it. Even without a technology background the printer can be set up ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages cost of inks

I purchased this printer for its wireless connectivity so i could stow it away in the spare bedroom. It was bought for general use but has since been used to do mine and my partners wedding invitations. Setup was easy and straightforward took all of 5 minutes and the quick start guide is the only manual i needed. The quality of the print is great and prints really well on materials such as parchment I am very pleased with this machine overall. The copy function is also a very useful tool allowing me to get documents without the use of my laptop. The only downside in my opinion is replacing the ... more

    Advantages Advantages Easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not the fastest printing speed

In my opinion this is a really good printer, photocopier and scanner because it is extremely easy to use. The input and output paper trays are convenient and easy. The buttons are so simple and it is really easy to make the correct selection of what you want to do - such as to make a copy of something or scan it onto your computer. When I first got this printer I could not believe how easy it was to photocopy things, without going down to the library. I think that the printer is a good size and has an extremely smart and proffesional appearance on your desk or office. I would truly recommend ... more
