I picked this laser printer up from PC World for about £100 and overall have been very impressed. The printer connects through a USB cable and set up is very simple for both Windows and Apple Mac computers. There are a lot of positives with this printer. Firstly it offers very good value for money. It does everything the average home user will want for a very affordable price. The print quality is good and perfect for everyday printing of letters, ... ...which is a particularly useful feature. This requires you to place the half printed copies back into the feeder rather than doing this automatically. This isn't really much of a problem, especially for the asking price. The printer also works well with transparencies. It comes with a ink cartridge which has lasted me at least a year of regular home use. Brought this on impulse when visiting my local PCworld store, I was feed up with my samsung laser printer and its paper feed problems, and can only say how impressed I've been.
Paper feed is great using a range of papers and light card, even works well on transparencies.
Print quality is superb. I often use it at its lowest quality settings with toner saver selected and still find the output fine for most tasks - only using best quality settings ... ...Of course these pictures are only black and white but they still have great reproduction quality. The supplied memory is more than adequate - had to upgrade the memory in my samsung to get it to print high quality pictures but nothing I've sent to the 1022 has failed to print. Speed is great - not just when producing multiple copies but also time to print first page is probably the best of any printer I've ever used at home or work!

Having had an inkjet printer for 5 years, I decided to buy this printer to replace it, £95 seemed really cheap from Dabs and it arrived the next day.
The first thing that struck me was how well packed and made the printer was, everything seemed to be very firm and the waulity seemed excceptionally high. The only annoying thing was that a USB cable is not included, which I think is rather stingy as thats the only way to print to this.
Anyway, setup ... ...and run the excellent install software then plug the printer in - all done. Next my mac, which is usually a pain for printer installation, not with this one, same process as PC and working in a few seconds.
The printing speed is very fast and quality is excellent, the cartridges do appear to be expensive, but you get so many prints out of them, the cost per print is far lower than inkjet printers, although naturally it is only black and white.
