Advantages: good speed and cheap to run Disadvantages: hey who said cheap to run?
...enter our next guest, the HP LaserJet 4300tn. it's cheap to run (well reasonably) and it's very fast indeed. it'll print up to 45 pages per minute too, which is really quick if you think about it. it is heavy! yes boy oh yes. it weighs 27kg, which for our american cousins, is around the weight of a suckling pig. however, compared to other similar printers, it's light! so get it now. whatever.
it'll take a parallel connection or ethernet. to be honest, ... ...and the toner lasts ages. it should be guaranteed to last until the end of the ink age, that'd be good. but it's not.
it's got 80megs of ram so you can send it loads of jobs and then shut down your computer and it'll keep chugging along like an ole steem trayne ma'am.
it's discontinued on amazon but available from www.microwarehouse.co.uk for 1400 including vat. not bad but there isn't any colour option, just black and white, fine if you're printing ...
