We are a family of computer/internet addicts and a few years ago, we had a main PC and a laptop – this was between myself and my hubby – our two (then teenagers) still at home had their own laptops. The main PC was fast becoming redundant and hubby and I were finding ourselves having silent battles with each other, as to who would use the laptop. You couldn’t say it belonged to one of us in particular, as it was part of a freebie deal from Carphone warehouse – we both wanted it! We had a foreign holiday looming and this was to be the first time that we were leaving our “adult” children at home ... more

Small, Lightweight, Compact, just a few of the words used to describe the HP Mini 110. While it's not a new innovation from Hewlett Packard, the mini notebook has superseded many of its competing counterparts in terms of it's simple aesthetic design, lightweight structure and mobile capabilities. Small enough to fit in your handbag, the Mini doesn't neglect any features in comparison to larger "laptop" models, and is more than capable of fulfilling all the requirements of anyone on the move. Features: Windows 7 Starter 32 Bit: Basic Windows 7 Operating system with upgrade options to Home ... more

Last Christmas I was really struggling for an idea of what to get for my wife at Christmas, and so in the end I buckled, and ended up asking her what she would like.....Big Mistake!! Instead of a watch, or some perfume, or a new coat, she came straight out with 'A Laptop please'! This was a little out of the normal price range that I am comfortable with for a Christmas present, but I realised that it was something that we could do with, as we just had 1 laptop at the time, which we constantly argued about, and it frustrated my wife that I was always 'hogging OUR Laptop' (usually reading / ... more

Advantages Advantages Small and easy to carry around

Disadvantages Disadvantages Screen is smaller that Iwould like

As I spend a lot of time online I need to have a laptop that works all the time, and unfortunately with my emachine model that is the case. As I can’t work if it breaks down, I need to have a back-up one and I decided that I would like a smaller one that I could also take away with me. When I went to Curries there was quite a good choice an while this was something I needed I did not want to spend a lot on this item so was pleased to see that the Hewlett Packard HP Mini 110 PC was on offer at £189 so decided that this was going to be the one to buy. There was the choice of pink or blue so I ... more

Advantages Advantages Very portable, quick access with Instant Web, attractive design

Disadvantages Disadvantages Very sensitive mouspad when using Instant Web, keep losing the cursor.

I recieved my HP Mini as a gift and don't know how I ever did without it. There is very little I can say on the negative side other than the over sensitive mouspad when using Instant Web. If going through Windows this can be adjusted. I must admit I tend to use a wireless mouse but that is purely my personal preference and no reflection on the mousepad. The Instant Web function gives fast access to some of the basic features on this netbook. Great if you just want to get access onto the Internet or play your favourite tunes. The bookmark options through the opening page make accessing your ... more

Advantages Advantages battery life, stylish, robust

    Disadvantages Disadvantages mouse pad, memory,

I bought this laptop a few months ago purely as a tool to use the internet on the go and to write word documents. This was not my main computer as I had a desktop at home and so don't use it for storing too much data or media. I bought this from PC world without putting too much research in and mainly decided on which to get through the advice of staff at PC world. The main reason i went for this was due to the exceptional battery life it advertised which was over 9 hours. This was far greater than any others in the shop and has performed ever so well in terms of battery life, although like ... more

Advantages Advantages small in size, economical and great perfomace for net users

Disadvantages Disadvantages Thicker than other models in the market,

Hp Mini 110 is very stylish and a great machine to have. small in size and great performance with atom n270 processor , 1GB Memory and enough 160GB hard drive to store data. It comes in Xp and linux based Mi Edition. I would strongly suggest to go for xp edition if you are not familier with linux. It is an economical but slightly thicker than the other available models in the market. I also appreciate the Mini 110's software selection, which is slightly more robust than the usual feeble bloatware. For instance, Syncables allows you to sync five PCs on a network The battery life of this model ... more
