Advantages: It'll do most things that you want it to. Disadvantages: It thinks it's smarter than you.

Anyway, what you really want to find out from a consumer review is whether your photocopier/printer-y type thing is secretly plotting in league with your modem to kill you to death as you sleep. Now, THAT'S the kind of question you'll find answered here.

That proved to be a raging ... ...challenge in itself, mainly because HP thought the absolute optimum way to package it would be to swathe it in the very stickiest sellotape known to man, and that, just for kicks, they'd hide some of the sellotape inside the mechanism so that, just when you thought you'd got it all, you'd switch it on, and it'd make a horrible squealy shuddering noise that'll go on for an astonishingly long time.

...overly expensive compared to other HP consumables. It will print on a wide range of papers and cards, up to A4 size.
The fax is as good as it needs to be, and can be selected to answer different ring patterns. I have mine set on my BT "call-sgn" number, which operates on single rings. The fax machine will only answer the single rings, and I don't! It can store up to 120 pages.
Copies can be made from 25% to 400% of the original size, and up to ... ...in the front of the device for memory cards, so that you can print photos without using a computer. My only gripe is that my Smart Media card is not supported.
Although it is easy to set up, some DIY is needed, as every country has a different control panel cover, but this is not a real problem. The device may be set up as a USB printer, or a network printer using ethernet cable. Wireless networks require an optional extra bluetooth wireless connector. ...

(+) great value colour cartidges,volume quality printing.Excellent scanner and copier (-) struggles with heavy photo quality papers,photos not as sharp as hoped for an HP
