I bought my HP Pavilion dv21360ea in november last year. The advantage to buy new laptop at this time, is that you'll be able to upgrade to new Windows Vista which will be available broadly January 30, 2007. So if you get a new laptop between October 26, 2006 and March 15, 2007 you will be able to uprade for free to Windows Vista. I have already order it from HP site. ...is - don't buy an HP Laptop. In Dec 2006, I bought a HP laptop. Before the warranty had expired, the display adapter went on it and it had to be sent back to be repaired. Five months after the repair job, the new display adapter has gone and HP want to charge me £270 to repair it again. The laptop is now out of warranty, and they only guarantee new parts for 3 months. Hi there, I wish I could have read your advice before I went to buy my HP Pavilion. It seems that this is a common problem with HP computers my graphic card is gone too, the computer beeps three times but it won't start. I tried to take it apart but it seems to be impossible.
