...is a fingerprint magnet, but HP provide a cleaning cloth to compensate for this. The only downside is that the mouse buttons are soft and squishy, not giving a firm 'click'. The 15.4-inch glossy widescreen is of the new, brighter variety, with better colour reproduction. The screen's 1280 x 800 pixel resolution makes for comfortable viewing on an LCD this size, however higher resolution would be preferred. Above the screen you'll find an integrated ... ...not work with Vista and HP have acknowledged this!!! A little downside with the lid is the lack of latch, meaning that the lid slams shut to secure closing.
HP includes 3 USB ports, including an ExpressCard slot and a 5-in-1 card reader.
A remote control is included to allow controlling of power, volume, DVD controls etc allowing you to watch a movie in bed and turn the machine off without getting up. This is a useful feature.

I payed £450 for this product as it had the remote missing. I got the laptop brand new from HP Direct at the time.
It is a superb machine; its an eye turner for sure. Especially as i take it university for my studies. It has all the DVD features and the HD screen that it boasts is pretty flattering if you are the type of person to create graphics and websites.
Overall I give this laptop 5 stars. I think its a perfect companion for any student/worker or home user alike. It is fast and it has most of the latest features many laptops have not got such as intergrated bluetooth and wireless functionality. ...

Advantages: Quick, Large memory, Longlife battery, Easy to use, Disadvantages: Heavy
Fantastic Laptop. Very quick and has a huge memory. the screen is great and with a dvd player which comes with remote control it also works just as well as tele and hi fi. Havent had any problems at all with it and the wireless is also great as it connects straight away with no fuss. the memory is great and holds hundreds of songs and pictures. have had this nearly 2 years and it still shows no signs of needing replaced any time soon. Battery lasts ... ...music. It also has a media centre which allows you to view pictures in a slide show and listen to music through playlists etc without the need for windows media player. It is quite small and the buttons are soft and easy to use. The joystick is also sensitive which means you dont need to push too hard to get it to work. It also has a scroll button which allows you to use the joystick to scroll through the menus without any fuss. It is quite heavy ...

(+) positive aspects include the speed, apperance/design of the laptop, and the enhanced performance. (-) i have a matt black laptop and it shows dirty finger prints.
